I like watching hockey I just don't know enough about the intricacies of it to talk proactively about it like football or basketball. Same with the MLB. Also, where as with football and basketball I have been invested since childhood , others sports I only became interested in as an adult, so I have no real team affiliation and no nostalgic thread or built up investment...
