What if the Pocahantas joke on Sen. Warren was true, and yet she (and others) still find it offensive??As far as inappropriate goes that is a cultural thing
Offensive would be whatever one finds offensive
people get them to decide that for themselves. And before you say a joke is inappropiate or offensive, who exactly gets to decide whats inappropiate or offensive??
Exactly, and if you feel the need to be offended at jokes like that, be my guest.people get them to decide that for themselves
Having watched CNN/MSNBC on their coverage over this last 24hrs they are in my opinion WAY overreacting. Thats probably an opinion which you dont share. And thats fineyou seem to think the media is having a meltdown. who gets to decide that?
You know what I really hate guys, is you can't tell a joke without so many people getting offended.
i don't believe i said any such thing. please don't put words in my mouth.Exactly, and if you feel the need to be offended at jokes like that, be my guest.
Remember Trump wasnt trying poke fun at Najavo's, he was poking fun at Warren for pretending to be a native-Indian.
So really what you're saying Alasdair, is that you're offended at Warren for lying on her Harvard admission pretending to be an Indian, which essentially is saying I'm offended at someone for telling a lie
Nice to hear you have thick(er) skin or maybe a good sense of humori don't believe i said any such thing. please don't put words in my mouth.
i'm not outraged by this nor am i having a meltdown
He did honor them for almost the entire day.trump was there to honor these code talkers but, because he has absolutely no tact or sense or occasion or humility, he made this about himself.
for me, the saddest thing of all is that i'm not at all surprised
You're drunk again, aren't you? Can't you find some more bear videos to post?
opinion is divided that it was 'funny'. the people he was honoring didn't find it funny. in a statement russell begaye (navajo nation president) said that he appreciated "the honor and recognition that has been bestowed upon the navajo code talkers" but added "all tribal nations still battle insensitive references to our people."He did honor them for almost the entire day.
It was only at the last minute or so he threw in that little funny jab at Sen. Warren.
why would you feel the need to apologise?I'm sorry, I thought it was funny :D
don't see anybody saying that. oh wait, is this another funny joke? it's hard to tellImpeach.....impeach!!! 8)
But nowhere in that statement did he specifically say Trump was being offensive (unless I missed something).opinion is divided that it was 'funny'. the people he was honoring didn't find it funny. in a statement russell begaye (navajo nation president) said that he appreciated "the honor and recognition that has been bestowed upon the navajo code talkers" but added "all tribal nations still battle insensitive references to our people."
Come on now, you know that was just a figure of speechwhy would you feel the need to apologise?
Of course "impeach" is a sarcastic joke. You know he wont be over the Pocahantas jokedon't see anybody saying that. oh wait, is this another funny joke? it's hard to tell![]()
"all tribal nations still battle insensitive references to our people" was clearly directed. are you saying your believe that is a complete non-sequitor?But nowhere in that statement did he specifically say Trump was being offensive (unless I missed something).
Billy Baldwin isn’t angry at Trump for hitting on wife, just his ‘hypocrisy’
Billy Baldwin says he’s not “pissed” at President Trump for hitting on his wife — just for his “hypocrisy” in criticizing Al Franken, the actor tweeted Tuesday.
“I was never pissed at Trump for hitting on my wife. Honestly… my friends thought it was a riot at the time. Everybody flirts… I got no problem with that,” the 54-year-old “Backdraft” actor said in a tweet.
“I resent the hypocrisy of Trump pointing the finger at Al Franken while 16 women have accused HIM of sexual assault,” Baldwin railed, referencing the four women who have alleged that the Minnesota Democrat touched them inappropriately.
Baldwin first accused the president of making a pass at his wife, Wilson Phillips singer Chynna Phillips, in a Nov. 24 tweet to Donald Trump Jr., who shared an article about Franken’s alleged sexual misconduct allegations.

Billy Baldwin claims Donald Trump hit on his wife
“Your Dad is a 5th degree black belt when it comes to sexual impropriety allegations,” Baldwin tweeted. “In fact … I once had a party at the Plaza Hotel … your father showed up uninvited & hit on my wife … invited her on his helicopter to Atlantic City. She showed his fat ass the door. #TrumpRussia.”
Baldwin later added: “Think that’s good… wait till I tell you about doing scenes in acting class with Marla Maples(terrific person!!) in the late 80s. It was before Ivana or the press even knew. We rehearsed in her apartment & Donny Boy would call every 20 mins to check up on us. #VeryInsecureDude.”
Trump was recorded bragging about sexual assault in the infamous “Access Hollywood” videotape.
He has apologized for his crude comments and dismissed them as “locker room talk” — but reports surfaced over the weekend that he has been questioning the tape’s authenticity.
“Trump challenged the authenticity of the Access Hollywood audio today cuz he’s worried Mueller has something on him so, as a preemptive strike, he wants to cast doubt on the authenticity of any audio/ video they may try to use against him. He wants MAGA to think he’s being set up,” Baldwin said in another tweet Tuesday, referring to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Aaahhh........so you're assuming now??!!i assume he did not call him out directly because he has some tact
yes - was was assuming. the clue is where i wrote: "i assume..."Aaahhh........so you're assuming now??!!
Great point.yes - was was assuming. the clue is where i wrote: "i assume..."
moving on.
on october 7th 2016, in response to the publication of the access hollywood tapes, trump said, in a statement "Anyone who knows me knows these words don't reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong and I apologize..."
my emphasis. pretty unequivocal statement. he said it. he apologized. fair enough.
whether you are a left leaner or right leaner, whether you think this was harmless locker room talk or a sexist asshole bragging about sexually assaulting women, there's something we can all - along with trump - agree on, right? he said it. you guys love him for being a straight shooter and he could not have been clearer in those 9 simple words.
now he's claiming that the tape is fake and that it may not be his voice on the tape?
if that is the case, why did he say he said it and apologise for it?
if this is straight-shooting, i'm confused...
