Or legit paranoia and his first encounter with leakers: "How did the press know that! I bet that ni-- I bet Obama tapped my phones! I realize now at 4am as I shit and tweet, like normal humans. So sad!"

in march, trump claimed that obama had 'tapped his phones'.
the justice department refuted that on friday. it never happened.

The extremely corrupt DOJ, who colluded with the FBI get Killary off the hook for her crimes, is now protecting their own interests with this verdict.
Whether the statement is true or not, their track record and reputation is dogshit and they are untrustworthy.
This is a mafia gang covering for each other.

Being a conservative in Hollywood is like being a member of a group living under a regime that rounded them up and gassed them?
Allen is a comedian making an analogy about a very uncomfortable truth in his profession.
Senses of humor are in short supply around here but I am sure you know exactly what he was trying to say.
He feels persecuted for his political affiliations.
Denying the Liberal bias in the entertainment industry is naive or just plain ignorant.

^ nobody is denying there might be a liberal bias but simply pointing out that some of the exaggerations you, and tim allen, are making are just that. exaggerations.

you're just regurgitating baseless trump-ish rhetoric regarding the wire-tap claims. why don't you:

Stick to the facts and assess those.

?

alasdair

What about James Woods being blacklisted by Hollywood? The guy speaks non-stop about Pizzagate, because he knows what type of people are involved in the industry and he is not scared of repercussions.
Obviously Tim Allen was exaggerating, there was no need to point that out. What you are doing is blatantly ignoring the point he was making.

If conservative voices were allowed to be heard in the media then you would all feel far less justified in your Liberal agenda as we would actually be exposed to contrasting viewpoints.
Coulter was silenced and labeled a Nazi (this is really serious) so I am not surprised that Allen was petrified about discussing the topic (he took a big risk with that Jew analogy too)

And there are members of the Obama administration who are under investigation for unlawfully unmasking the names of American citizens caught up in foreign surveillance.
Semantics aside, they were definitely wiretappped,

One of my high school English teachers said she went to school with Tim Allen, and he was an asshole then, too. I'm mainly thinking about the time he ratted out his buds after smuggling weed or coke into the country.

ALthough my teacher must have gone to college, which makes everyone liberal, so she might've tried to silence him by planting those drugs, I don't know, but glad his show failed. Galaxy Quest is a classic though.

President Trump’s approval numbers may be under water, but he’s significantly more popular than House Speaker Paul Ryan or House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

A new poll by The Economist finds Trump with a 39 percent “favorable” rating, with 23 percent holding a “very favorable” view of the president, and 16 percent “somewhat favorable.”

Forty-five percent say they have a “very unfavorable” view of Trump.

The poll also finds only 8 percent of Americans approve of how Congress is handling its job, with a meager 3 percent saying they “strongly approve.”

So Trump is a hell of a lot more popular than Congress!

Interesting source though. (Although he cites the Economist). Have people posted about the "Black woman travels across South planting Confederate flags", or the "NJ school removes Civil War art ‘to avoid potentially offending anyone’" yet and I missed it?

Good news is Kyle Olson uses Disqust!

Wray: No ‘whiff of interference’ with Trump-Russia probe

FBI Director Christopher Wray said Thursday that he has not picked up any indication that either President Donald Trump or the White House is seeking to interfere with the ongoing probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“I can say very confidently that I have not detected any whiff of interference with that investigation,” Wray said during an intelligence-focused conference in Washington.

Because they know it's a waste of time.

uhh...he already interfered with the invenstigation by first asking the FBI director comey to proclaim that trump was innocent, then firing him when he continued the investigation and refused to do so. That is interference.

I don't understand how that alone did not get trump impeached.

Wray wants to keep his job, he saw what happened to the last guy. Trump played this very well but I guess he knew that obstruction of justice by firing comey wouldn't be held against him.

That's not the reason Comey was fired. Comey was severely compromised, and incompetent as the FBI director, evident from how he mishandled the Clinton/email case.

Comey also stated under oath that the investigation into Trump would continue perfectly fine without him working for the FBI. So I'm not sure what nonsense you are speaking of.

Common sense says that they would have found the indisputable evidence of Trump "colluding" with Russia by now (I heard Trump got paid for a speech by a Russian bank and then sold US uranium to the Kremlin - definitely an impeachable offense).

Obstruction of justice? What was the original crime that he was obstructing the investigation of?

Only in our present world, can you quasi-legally fire the detective looking into your alleged crimes, and have supporters say, "what, he was incompetent, he didn't execute Hillary, probably a pedophile too."

Democrats hated Comey as he cost Killary the election.

Trump-haters know that if Comey handled the Trump/collusion case like he did the Clinton/email case then Trump would have gotten off scot-free (even with smoking gun evidence)

Trump-haters know that Comey deserved to be fired but they are looking for ways to politicize the firing to find some (still undiscovered) obstruction of justice.

So far Trump has not been accused of any specific crime.

Well I'm happy Mueller is handling the investigation. He just subpoenaed Trump's former chief of staff,Reince Priebus; Don McGahn, the White House counsel; Hope Hicks; the interim communications director; Sean Spicer, the former press secretary; James Burnham, McGahn's deputy; and Josh Raffel, a top aide who works with Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser. The circle is tightening. Trump must be flipping out.

Mueller is moving with a lot of speed with a formidable team of sixteen specialized prosecutors. He is very respected and was confirmed with no opposing Senate vote as head of the FBI for 12 years and enjoys wide support across both parties. And just as a reminder, this investigation is also about Russian interference in our election.

The fact that the Mueller team doesn't have leakers and the only information coming out is people are getting subpoenas after a grand jury was impaneled means no one knows what has been found. The impaneliing of a grand jury has significance; it indicates that Mueller felt he had enough proof to move forward. Also the midnight raid on Paul Manafort's case was dramatic.

McGahn is a central figure in several aspects of the investigation: the inaction of the administration regarding ousted national security adviser Michael Flynn, the firing of former FBI Director James Comey

Trump can't pardon people from prosecution by the State, so it's interesting that Mueller is now working with the DA of New York. Attica or Rikers? Checkmate Mueller.

Be patient people. These things usually take years.

tl:dr Mueller is investigating Trump AND Russian interference in the election. If there is something, he will find it and meticulously document it. No question.
Expect unhinged tweets.

^^ Actually, this is a thread I want to post. I just put out a tester to see if you would spam it and how. (Apparently yes and denial.)

In recent history, there have only been two other independent counsel investigations. One resulted in the resignation of President Nixon and the other resulted in the impeachment of President Clinton. On average, they lasted three years.

A special prosecutor investigating a President is rare and significant. This investigation is also about Russia interfering with our election results, which is something that is rarely addressed.

This is from a previous post. Sources are there.

Mueller has already hired 16 prosecutors—some of the most accomplished investigators ever assembled on one team.

These are people with deep skills and experience in prosecuting cases on money laundering, campaign finance violations and foreign bribery, as well as a sophisticated understanding of how to handle sprawling, complex investigations like this one.

If any crimes were committed, they’re likely to find out.

The opinions of lawyers were sought for an article. These are excerpts from the article and my original post, which has source

Jed Shugerman, law professor, Fordham University

A special grand jury devoted to a single investigation is very rare.

Perhaps a clearer signal of Mueller's case is his recent hire of Greg Andres, a former prosecutor specializing in foreign bribery and fraud. Andres would not leave his law firm if he did not expect to be very busy and very central to this case.

My personal speculation is that Mueller would not have done this if he did not have significant evidence. Mueller is a class act. I doubt he would risk his reputation, even among a few dozen people, without something that he already knows is potentially very serious.

Serious question: if they find out that Trump's wife received $500,000 from a Kremlin-connected bank to deliver a speech (she speaks Russian no doubt), and at the same time Trump oversaw a deal that allowed the Russian government to purchase 20% of US uranium stores, would that be grounds for impeachment and removal from office?
If Trump's campaign manager also had a lobbying firm that received tens of millions of rubles from the Kremlin?

What specific crimes would you all be content with to justify impeachment?
