2016 American Presidential Campaign

Trump is having a bad night looks like he may only win one state. Rubio is finally pretty much done after tonight I think. Its going to be trump vs Cruz all the way to the convention. Clinton looks to have the democratic nomination locked up unfortunately.

I disagree. It's undeniable that Sanders is gaining momentum pretty much everywhere, just like he has been doing since October. He was polling at less than 5% in most places just 4 months ago. Now he's neck and neck with Hillary. There are no polls anywhere around the country showing support for Bernie shrinking. Quite the opposite in fact, Clinton's lead is and has been shrinking even in places like Michigan. Given another 3 months before any primaries took place, Bernie would probably be crushing her when the caucuses came. This narrative that CNN, MSNBC, and the rest of the mass media is peddling about the race "pretty much being over" is complete bullshit. It's theirs and the Democratic National Committee's tactic to get Hillary the nomination. It's completely misleading for sites like CNN to be listing Hillary with over 1,000 pledged delegates when Superdelegate votes aren't even decided until July. When she ran against Obama she was crushing him in Superdelegates 3-to-1 before Obama's popularity among voters caused them all to switch their votes to him. The DNC made a huge bet on Hillary 2 years ago and if it doesn't pay off, they're fucked. They have a lot invested in making sure Hillary wins. Unfortunately for them their power and influence is finite. They can't FORCE a win or Hillary against large enough public opinion. Superdelegates are mostly governors, congressman, senators, etc. who risk losing re-election if they vote against their constituents as Superdelegates.

I've been phonebanking in Michigan for Sanders all day. It's actually a pretty cool tool and an interesting strategy. His campaign has a dialing system that connects you to people who have already been polled as Bernie Supporters or people leaning towards Bernie in Michigan(By far the most important primary this week). When you connect you just ask them if "we can count on your vote Tuesday" and ask them they still live at XXX address, then you use the Phonebank system to remind them where to go vote.

You can also phonebank in other states whose primaries are coming up to help identify Bernie supporters. You simply ask them who they support for President and end the call if they say anyone other than Bernie. If they DO say Bernie, you mark them down as a strong supporter or "leaning towards Bernie." This allows his campaign to contact the strong supporters to see if they're willing to do volunteer work for the campaign and it allows them to send volunteers to talk face-to-face with the people who were "leaning toward Bernie" or undecided.

It's super easy, free, and you can dedicate as much or as little time as you want to doing it. You can let the system dial 1 number for you and then quit, you can let it keep dialing numbers and go as long as you want, and you can even pause the dialer if you want to take a break.

Super Saturday off to a good start.

No prob. Your shit state already caucused and chose Hillary though, so the best way for you to contribute to the revolution is to start stabbing people that admit to voting for $hillary.

The black power movement in the early 60s weren't bullshitting when they said "the revolution will not be televised."

Despite Sanders' 2-out-of-3 big primary wins tonight this is what CNN's homepage looks like right now.

You can call me biased all you want, I don't give a fuck. I think Bernie murdered Clinton in tonight's debate. There were several times she was downright stammering and trying to think of "politician BS" talking points to spit out. just to get a cheer from the crowd, even if what she said had nothing to do with the actual question. She also kept invoking Obama every time she got in real trouble.

The difference in sincerity and candidness between the two has never been more apparent in any debate between them as it was tonight imo.

Media bias in this country is so fucking sickening. The only thing that makes me angrier than the blatant manipulation is knowing that tons of people just eat it up because "Well that's what the headline says!"

I don't care who you support for President. Trump, Cruz, Hillary, Bernie. Someone please explain to me how Bernie winning 2 of the 3 state primaries that took place yesterday equates to a "decisive victory on Super-Saturday for Hillary Clinton."

That's not even mentioning Bernie winning the third out of four states that had primaries this weekend, Maine, which was finalized BEFORE the debate even started.

So to recap: 4 states voted this weekend and all the results were in before the Debate started tonight. Bernie won 3 states, Hillary won 1. Yet the opening of the article is about how Hillary crushed on Super Saturday.

What. The. Fuck.

Heavy indeed.
That's insane. Says a lot about the current state of the media.
I imagine that the democratic party's insiders will see beyond this nonsense though.

I'm heartened to read that Sanders is still in with a chance. This really is an interesting Presidential campaign - equal parts hopeful, depressing, terrifying.

It's complete and utter bullshit manipulation to convince the American public Bernie has already lost. Hillary has less than a 200 delegate lead on Sanders right now with over 3,000 delegates still to vote. Yet this is what CNN's website shows because they're trying to include the Superdelegates who don't decide who to back until July.

Too bad he had an aggressive tone...sexist!

GM, did you see msnbcs post debate coverage? That was the most disgusting thing ive seen in my entire life.

I didn't. I refuse to help any of those news outlets" ratings by watching the debate on their channel. "The Young Turks" always stream the debates on YouTube. You can't actually see the debate, but you can hear it and watch the young Turks commentators as the debate goes on. I definitely think Bernie came out on top last night.

Eh, I know what you mean. I don't want to support them. But I can't stand TYT either, especially after what they did with Sam Harris.

It upsets me that Sanders doesnt get more black voters supporting him, NO OTHER CANIDATE did what he did for the blacks Sanders WENT TO JAIL for them in the '60s !!
