Here's the REAL delegate count as it stands now, despite what CNN and the rest of the major news outlets are saying

Wow, thanks for that GM.
Very interesting...

It upsets me that Sanders doesnt get more black voters supporting him, NO OTHER CANIDATE did what he did for the blacks Sanders WENT TO JAIL for them in the '60s !!
Exactly:

I think last night's debate will do a lot to help Sanders among black voters. Of course he has a far better civil rights record than Hillary, but a lot of people don't know that. I think a lot more do now after watching last night's debate.

The black vote is very disappointing. I guess Billary pUT all the black Sanders supporters in jail and disenfranchised them in the 1990s.

Remember, half the people have an IQ less than 100. Around a third are illiterate. We are seeing how harmful that is to a democracy like USA.

^ trump "love the poorly educated ", because with the sort of media reach he commands, he is able to manipulate those with lower levels of literacy and education with cheap slogans, open bigotry and other lowest-common-denominator populism.
The existence of this class of working-poor people enables the kind of elite he represents to continue to thrive, to hold power and prosper.

If wealth distribution were more equitable, the sad irony is that the Trumps of this world would not be benefiting from the lack of education of those who cannot afford it.

This is probably the thing i find most nauseating about Trump - that he feeds off many of the disenfranchised working classes to bolster his campaign to screw them even more.

Bernie is far better choice for the black vote. Though I think overall it is bad for minorities to not vote on per cadidate basis. Being able to pander to a group of people will seldom serve the purpose of the individual. We will of shown true progress when there is no longer mass pandering to large groups of people based racial preconceived notions IMHO

You hit the nail right on the head. Slogans are not substance. There are only a select group of elites that will benefit if Trump becomes president. If people were more educated and understood how the government works citizens of this country might actually start demanding that our politicians do their job and take care of their constituents.

I get sickened by quite a few of my family members. They are extremely outspoken republicans, and quite a few are tea partiers but most are actually doing poorly and are in quite a bit of debt. When I we talk about politics I actually just excuse myself from the conversation because I constantly hear "Obamacare is ruining our country. Obama was the worst president ever. Obama didn't do anything for me." I just want to say Obamacare is a step in the right direction. It is a step towards single payer healthcare which would raise taxes but lower peoples individual debt because of medical bills. I try to say that most of the problems that our country has is because of our conservative legislative and judicial branches and the problems handed down due to reaganomics and failed wars in iraq and afghanistan. I support bernie sanders because I know that he will try to stem the tide of rampant deregulation and lobbyists buying legislation.

Ethnic groups don't always vote as a block. Of course we saw this in 2008, but there are plenty of variables to throw in. Among every ethnic group are women, who may form a voting block across ethnic lines. There are young people within every ethnicity, who may form a voting block. Single issue voters, etc. I feel like we put too much emphasis on "winning the [insert ethnic group] vote". Each ethnicity is simply too varied to boil it down so thick.

No matter your race, religion, or creed you will vote for whomever offers what you need.

It is also infuriating to me that religion is still in politics. The whole idea of someone asking if god is relevant reminds me of how stupid most people are. God is not relevant to politics. Look at the people trying to stop gay marriage, or defund planned parenthood due to their own religious belief structure. Religion is not science or reasonable it should have no place in debates and should be a non issue when choosing elected officials.

^Can you imagine the Jefferson vs Hamilton debates with questions regarding their own respective faiths? "Mr Hamilton, are you a practicing Presbyterian? How much of a role does this play in your life?"

It's gotten ridiculous and the ante keeps climbing upward every couple of years. Although the level of ignorance during the 2008 election was just astounding.

Waiting for the Michigan results to start rolling in has me scratching my neck like a crack addict needing a hit. Everyone knew Hillary was going to crush Sanders in Mississippi because, well, she's winning all the red states. She might as well be a Republican at this point of the primary.

But initial exit polls are looking excellent for Sanders. So far all the fatoids are Bernie-positive:

-Very large turnout. Several precincts ran out of ballots. Large turnouts have favored Sanders in every state.

-Higher than normal Independent voter turnout which unquestionably favors Sanders.

-Low black voter turnout. For the life of me I can't understand why Hillary dominates the black vote.

-80% of those polled said they considered Bernie to be honest compared to 58% for Hillary.

-More people said the economy was more important to them than how much political experience a candidate has. For some reason Hillary does very well when people value political experience even though Bernie has been in politics for like 50 years.

-7 of 10 people said they wouldn't mind Bernie being nominated compared to 6 of 10 for Hillary.

If Sanders pulls this victory off after being down 20 points in the polls just last week, it's going to be a HUGE turning point in this primary. I guarantee he'd literally raise $10 million in small donations tomorrow, which is absurd. Hell the $6 million he raised the day after winning New Hampshire was absurd. Broke the single-day fundraising record for any campaign ever.

The economy is important to sanders supporters?
I'm liking how all the hitler stuff still isn't giving the media traction against trump. I feel like all these different attacks are only making his support stronger. I just hope I'm voting for him and not Cruz come the general. Cruz would be a terrible president IMO

Have you even heard Bernie speak? 90% of his message is about how the economy is rigged and how he plans to fix it.

More good exit poll data for Bernie:

Mar 8, 2016 7:02 PM EST Exit poll: Majorities in both Mississippi and Michigan say trade with other countries takes away U.S. jobs

All those disastrous trade pacts Hillary supported might be coming back to bite her in the ass. I'm glad Bernie made it a point to talk about them in the Flint debate a couple days ago.

Fucking BAM.

Someone please tell me how any candidate in the history of American politics could lose a 20 point lead in 7 days without clubbing a baby seal to death or stomping on a litter of kittens on national TV.

Anyone that thinks massive supporters' efforts to sway voters on social media just choked on a giant metaphorical dick. There is absolutely no way Bernie could have gained 20 points in 7 days other than the by the army of people that did everything they could to sway MI voters. I mean fuck, I had a Michigan newspaper ask me to write an opinion piece on Sunday because I was posting so much shit to their FB page about the election. The Michigan Daily.

I would have posted this in the "I'm voting for Bernie" thread because it feels kinda wrong to religiously campaign in a thread that's about the overall election and not ust one candidate, but I'm really excited tonight so fuck you.

If you really think Bernie should be President, you should take even a half hour to contribute to the cause in some way. If you don't know how, message me and I'll be happy to assist you. Every. little. bit. counts.

Fuck all the candidates! Nobody in their right mind can honestly go and vote for these fucking money hungry racist losers(I PROMISE YOU BEHIND CLOSED DOORS ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE RACIST AND LOSERS. Plus, your vote never matters and never will matter. It all comes down to who is going to make the most money for the billionaires who run this country. If you believe that this isn't true then you are a fucking retard and deserve to go waste your time voting!!! ENJOY BEING A FUCKING SHEEPLE!!!

If you honestly believe any of what you just said applies to Bernie Sanders you should go take some 9mm aspirin.

That's kind of why people support him, you know? He's the only candidate of the past.... I dunno. 30-50 years that people think is sincere and honest? Even the most adamant Bernie haters don't try to claim he's some sort of back-room shill for the rich that's just lying through his teeth. The "racist" part is just too laughable to even respond to.

Hilary was already announced official winner of Mississippi with 3% of the vote in, which I thought was particular. Feels good to be on the winning side of the Michigan vote though.

Mississippi wasn't even in the discussion. A Hillary win was widely expected. She's basically guaranteed to win every red state in the country.

Unfortunately for the DNC if she wins the primary, none of those states are going to vote Democrat in the general election. None of them.

They're (the DNC) going to lose a lot of votes indeed under a Clinton nomination, whereas a Sanders nomination would probably draw independents and apathetic/undecided voters, rather than drive them away. Those people that don't vote in the general because of a lack of diversity between two status quo candidates.... there's a lot of them.
