2012 major league baseball thread v. Playoffs make baseball watchable

Jesus Christ am I angry that the Yankees won. Now I'm just hoping for the Nats to be the cards. I hate the cardinals and Yankees more than any other teams.
 
^sad day for you then. I also hate the yankees, but i was rooting for the cards so the g-men can have homefield advantage.

giants are hosting the national league championship series. Thats 2 conference championships hosted by SF in the last year (49ers was the other).

jim leyland retires

and assistant head coach and former pirates(my all time favorite) coach lloyd mcclendon takes over

and they win 100+ games next year, cause mcclendon is fucking awesome

and hating on the yankees is so tired and played out, unless you're a die hard sox fan

NLCS is going back to the bay. Can the Giants win 6 elimination games in a row this postseason to make it to the World Series? 4 down 2 to go.

Oh and I dont care if its cliche, fuck the yankees, I hope they never make the playoffs ever again.

Indeed, I wish I could have seen the game last night but i was busy.

How sweet it is to shove these wins back in the faces of dodger fans who were all full of spite when the giants were down 2 games to the reds/cardianls.

I could seriously see the same thing happening in the world series. The giants will probably lose game one because we're going up against verlander with someone from the back of our rotation (probably bumgarner or zito).

But even if theyre down 3 games I dont think anyone will count the giants out until its really over.
 
Wow. What is the bigger story right now: Barry freaking Zito pitching his azz off or Big Panda tying Babe, Reggie and Pujols with 3 HRs. Can't wait to hear sports talk radio in the morning about game 1.
