2012 major league baseball thread v. Playoffs make baseball watchable

As soon as nfl preseason starts Im going to follow the phillies as much as the Union. this whole season was fucked when they lost all those games going into the all star break. Too many guys playing in every other game or once every 5 games making too much money. Look at the rotation in 08, it wasnt anything special. "playoffs are all about pitching" yeah bs, its about situational hitting the most, which we have jack shit of this year.
 
well, down here in atlanta, we're thanking you for beating up on the nats this series. unfortunately, we couldn't get it done last night.

Eh its whatever, like I said in my first post in this thread baseball is my least favorite of the 4 major sports.

More crushing was the Flyers put an offer for Shea Webber but Nashville fucking matched it. Nashville, a fucking southern Hockey team throwing big money around. WTF. If they got Webber I truly believe they would win the Stanley Cup. Sixers are going nowhere this season, which I get. Hopefully they get rid of Iguodala by next seasons free agency and they make a splash that way, to go with the young guys. And the Eagles are Super Bowl or bust every year, so its been like a 52 year bukkake-fest going on.

they sell out every single game. i've been to a bunch. that place gets rowdy as shit. also, my cousin's kids, who live in nashville, play on hard core travelling hockey teams. believe it or not, nashville is now a hockey town. they are insane for the preds.
 
maybe TN is different than say, Atlanta or Tampa then.

The Thrashers were there and gone in a single 10 year span iirc, and when Tampa won the cup some paltry number showed up to the parade, I dont think it was more than 20k people
 
atlanta is just a shitty professional sports town in general. hockey is big in raliegh with the hurricanes.

Any of you on BL? I've seen a white sox avatar once or twice before so I know there have to be some of you. what do you think about the season? we got a killer team this time around...the rotation is just a bit shaky and gordon beckham fucking sucks...

4 games back with a 6 game winning streak and they play the astros for four games this week
