2012 - 2013 Football Thread

Fuck pogba.. he had his chances... if hes all about the money then he can fuck off. See how well that worked for ravel morrison? no one wants anywhere near the cunt now

Haha when exactly? he only made 7 apps for United.. Baconface decided to hold onto Scholes who needs a zimmerframe to get through 90 mins. I'm sure Pogba's gutted playing games for Serie A champs. Some player.

Full strength defence but still one of the shakiest around. And De Gea makes mistakes every second game. Should be a good game. Can see some goals.

Nani and Anderson are back. Is that a good thing? Everytime I've seen Kagawa he's been rubbish. Hasn't settled in at all. He was quality at Dortmund.

Will take him a while to adapt but he is a quality player, id even say on the same level as david silva. He has been poor recently but hes trying to get into the rythm of things.. you saw it against west ham/stoke he just got bullied off the ball. He will come good trust me. Hardly the shakiest defence around, de gea keeps parrying the ball into the oppositions feet, but you can tell the quality is there, some of the saves he has been have been top draw, again needs time to adapt. Yes anderson back is a good thing, he likes to run forward/take players on unlike the rest of our midfielders do... Nani back is a plus yet you forget what he has to offer sometimes, valencia is hitting an all time low, not only not getting crosses in the box, they seem to be flying 20 yards over/next to the post everytime. I dunno about him, last year he was good for assistsn etc but he dosent have the goal scoring ability that is really needed...

Must admit , I didnt expect Pogba to have such an impact. Just saw the highlights form yesteday , lad looks like quality.
Juve could have some team if they manage to get Llorente , with whom they are in "advanced negotiations" according to the Juve Chairman

EDIT-I know its the Daily Fail but Neville has written an erm shall we say entertaining bit on RA and Chelsea today.

Dark horse candidate for the position next year, which I wouldnt mind would be Cocu who is doing a decent job at PSV with their youth setup.
Think Emenalo , but a capable version

I'm very surprised SAF didn't play Pogba more (as most United fans are, I think). There must surely have been something else going on there. Same thing with Ravel Morrison, we all knew he was a brilliant player and couldn't work out why he wasn't being played - turns out his head wasn''t right, although maybe he's starting to come right at Birmingham.

But Pogba? It was so obvious he should at least have been on the bench. I can only think that maybe he'd already said he was leaving (maybe because he didn't like Manchester, or the club for some reason) and so he didn't get games.

Hey everyone! I am new to Bluelight...Wanted to hear opinions on who was shocked to hear V Valdes isn't renewing at Barca?! He's been there since Ronaldinho

Football is a game played by men with large leather balls as far as I'm concerned, but my opinion doesn't count for much...

Think El Gordo has finally figured out that Oscar,Mata & Hazard have to play in the same team.
Shockingly one sided game so far, and if Wilshere is the future of Englands midfield. You have to worry a bit

Fernando's new skaghead look suits him a lot more though

El Gordo, heh. Some lovely play by Chelsea and I've got Mata in my fantasy team, so I'm happy :). Love Oscar, was lucky to see him at Old Trafford in the Olympics. Chelsea just need to sign Neymer to work with him...

Probably the same thing that happened with Fryers who joined us. Young players & agents demanding more money even though they've rarely featured, obviously fell out with Whiskey Nose long ago and once that happens there's no comeback. 10 years ago they would've been happy to wait for their chance or too shit scared to fuck with Bacon Face.

Too much money in the game now. Pogba seems the type that will do the same thing to Juve in 3 years time when he's a full International and looking to join PSG or Madrid.

Welcome JSizzle. Somewhat surprised not shocked, it looks like he could be sold in the summer instead of seeing out his contract. He's been there a lot longer than Ronaldinho was. Valdes joined Barca as a 10 year old and grew up around the corner from the Nou Camp. I'd be surprised if Reina replaced him like the papers are hinting at.

Arsenal getting a lesson. Chelsea should be 5 up except Torres is playing.

@ TLM Bit unfair to single out Wilshere in a team that bad. He's quality and the only player that tries to drive that woeful team on.

Pitch inspection at Spurs at 2.50 Fuck! never good hearing that

By most accounts the lad from Derby Will Hughes is supposed to be better than Wilshere was at the same age. Will be interesting to follow his development
Jack has been unlucky with injury which has derailed his career a bit, hopefully he get it together for England in time for 2014 in Brazil.

Cant believe they would postpone the game at WHL, especially for the pitch which seems fine at the Bridge.

The surrounding area is notorious for its transport problems though. Bit of a joke that games get called off because of the risk of one or 2 people falling down outside a stadium.
You can bet Taggart will try and get the game called off though

Le Arse must have got a real rollicking at HT. Much better start for them.
Given El Gordo's propensity to make bonehead subs and wait ages to make any changes not to mention sit on leads and get deeper as a game goes on, this could be a nervy 2nd half.

No lead is safe whe Rafa is in charge.
We need a 3rd , 4th and 5th :)

There were a few pics of WHL at half time on TV, fair bit of snow there - worse than the Bridge which is fine, as you say.

What's your thinking about why Fergie would want the game called off? I'd have thought the opposite, he'd want to play it now and avoid fixture congesstion (Utd's next two games are home to Fulham (Cup) and Southampton, so now is probably a good time to play Spurs, we wouldn't want it put off till the same week that we play Madrid or Chelsea, say...)

About to post: Walcott scores. Great for the neutral....

Very poor from Ivanovic, great blood and thunder type of defender , but positioning and pace isnt the best.
Time to look for a replacement, Will be interesting to see Tomas Kalas at the Bridge next year.

I think Fergie would be happy to rotate the squad the next few games, I cant imagine the FA cup is a priority for him.

Edit, fecking hell these home games under Rafa are starting to follow a script

A- Take lead and look comfortable
B- Refuse to make any tactical changes or subs and blow lead

The game would be crying out for Luiz to solidify the midfield, Lamps legs have gone , he can only put in 50-60 min shifts thesedays.

Rafa fucking clueless of course as he didnt even name Luiz on the subs bench

Yeah hopefully it goes ahead, will find out soon.

Much better from Arsenal here, amazed Walcott stayed onside. Good finish. Arsenal fans were booing him last week. It only took £20m in wages to make him stay!
