2012 - 2013 Football Thread

i think you will find that RA is a big fanny =D,

whats your take on Spurs this season = 2nd n 3rd for most of the season then quick slide down to 5th or 6th

United may buy a midfielder yet. Rumours going around that gill is meeting the agents of strootman and dembele with us looking to sign one of them. The ipo prospectus said the expect to spend over 50m this window. Hopefully we can find a club for the sex machine that is dimi berbatov as its a waste of unreal talent sitting on the bench just cos he doesn't fit in our system.

We're playing for 5th, 6th or 7th place. And if we don't sign at least 3 players, below that again.

After all Levys "He's not leaving for less than £40 million" talk, he's leaving for less than Van Persie with the 1st game only days away.

United bought the wrong player (imo, before Red Arrow bursts into tears!)

i think this will be the best season yet. i predict wigan, reading & soton to go down. united to win. i actually think liverpool will do well this season too (4th)

Kagawa will surprise people. Mark my words.

And remember Juan Seba Veron? He was world class when we bought him. ;)

Been watching him all pre-season and I may say he looks a little like david silva :)

He won Bundesliga player of the year last year, im laughing at all the city players saying hes just a shirt sayer, none of them have even seen him play, I think he was a steal at £17m (or around that it).

So we signed Bundesliga player of the year and the premier league golden boot winner, plus we now have carrick, cleverley, kagawa, anderson, scholes, giggs etc all for midfield no, kagawa usually plays in the hole but as we have such a strike force im sure hell be put into midfield.

Everyone laughing at Bebe he actually looked not bad in pre-season... just wait !

A front of Rooney, RVP, supported by Nani, valencia, kagawa, carrick...... :sus:

Everyone keeps saying we need more in CM but if we signed anyone there we would be overloaded if everyone stays fit, I think wingers we are short of, Nani and Valencia, (giggs) are quality and young can have his days bit if either or both get injured we are fucked.. LB also. Sending Fabio out on loan im not sure about that

Any fans of Championship clubs on here?

Forest fan here. Good start for our boys. Not many people have us down for promotion favourites but I have a sneaky feeling we might surprise a few this year. Signed 8 new players over summer and a couple more still expected to come in. Played some excellent football at times today - fluid, progressive, tikka-takka like stuff. Wasn't expecting it yet what with our team needing time to gel, but hoping we can keep pace with the top six up until January and storm the remainder of the season after. Huddersfield away on Tuesday and I've got my tickets ready for another 1-0 win.

Leicester City here. There really should be no excuses and I could get my hopes up for promotion this year but experience suggests it will come down to the wire.

Ipswich Town fan here. Chuffed to see Norwich Shitty lose 5-0 yesterday.
Only a draw for Ipswich but at least it's a point, better than nothing.

Sheffield Wednesday fan myself, can't see us getting up in our first season back up, but nor do I see us going straight back down either, we've got a decent manager in Dave Jones, no crippling debts. A decent 2-2 draw away to Derby on the first day, I'll take that. A mid table finish I'm predicting for the Owls, any more is a bonus

Bristol City are my local team & i probably go to Ashton Gate 7/8 times at the very least a season . I also have been watching Swindon Town of late , well since Paolo Di Canio was made manager .
Bit gutted that City went out the League Cup early cos it would of been nice if they had a run init & got up against some prem teams .

Last year i saw Swindon beat Wigan in the Cup at The County ground .

I'm a West Ham supporter , but i'm also really i'm just a huge football fan and i enjoy going to actual matches rather than watching it on T.V .
So given my location Bristol City & Swindon are the teams that i'll be watching .

RLP are you a forest season ticket holder & do you follow away games ?
In fact if any of you want to see your team when they play Bristol City get in touch with me as i can get a discount of 50% if you don't mind being with the Home support !!!

I ain't going to take the piss outta you MAn YOu jockeys .

What i will say is David Moyes is some manager , that was a fantastic , organised performance from his team tonight .
The back 4 were immense JAgeileka especially . Fellanni superb in his role as well. TBF it's hard to pick one player as the whole team out played the REd Manchester Cooperation .

Excellent entertainment for a neutral like me , scary though thinking that THe Hammers are going to come up against quality like that8o

Crackin night at Ashton Gate yesterday , City wiped Palace 4-1 n they only gonna get better after signing Baldock off THE IRONS .
Always get a good crowd for the 1st home game of the season not many of us were expecting that though.

Proper job it was:)

I'm still a Portsmouth fan, not good to see them down in League 1 but it was good for them to start on 0 points after being in administration again, is going to be a tough season, especially as I don't think we have any permanent players, it seems the whole squad is on loan at the moment!
