2012 - 2013 Football Thread

really excited for the new season. i think united did the best business in the transfer window, followed closely by chelsea
city, spurs, arsenal and liverpool didnt do much really
 
would like if we went back to north london and got Alex Song.

did anybody see tha press conference some cunt from the Venkys gave last week, bad mouthed the manager and senior players. them pricks make the glazers look good.

This. Would have thought a top class central midfielder would be on the agenda, especially after seeing how City beat them twice and win the title. I heard Bacon-Face banging on earlier about how he now has a world class strikerforce like he did in 1999. Didn't hear him comparing the 1999 midfield four to his 2012 one.


Wish I could laugh at the Arsenal fans crying over RVP but I'm not looking forward to this season one bit. Selling Modric tomorrow, we've bought 2 players, and the only striker we have is Defoe. And the cherry on top, AVB is at the wheel.

Must be exciting for Pool fans having a manager than knows what he's actually talking about and buying decent players. Think Rogers will do well. City win it again for me. If Tevez had played all season last year, it wouldn't have been as close. Outstanding talent and cover in every position, best keeper, best centre half, the 2 best midfielders and 2 of the best strikers.
 
Kagawa will surprise people. Mark my words.

And remember Juan Seba Veron? He was world class when we bought him. ;)
 
Veron was world class is whole career. still playing is he not?

i saw him play for Sampdoria & Lazio pure class . Even Fergie said he was . & you got yer £ back on him.

He was brilliant, just didn't fit in to United's team and their way of playing. He's made for Italian / Argentine football basically.

And why does everybody seem to forget that this could be Tom Cleverley's breakthrough season?

I remember Fergie going on one when questioned about the Veron signing .
Granted he didn't have the impact on The EPL that was expected but in Serie A the guy was something else, a joy to watch indeed.

i think you will find that RA is a big fanny =D,

whats your take on Spurs this season = 2nd n 3rd for most of the season then quick slide down to 5th or 6th
