Do you know much about his Stable's & Nags . Who is his mentor as such ?
I hope that it keeps him off the TV as a pundit .

Palacio is on the radar of just about very club right know .

I think you are jumping on the bandwagon a tad .

Talking of "Pure" Strikers . One of the finest ever retired today you might recall him Ballon d'or winner 2001.
Shame he picked up injuries & lost interest he would of smashed the England Record Goal Scorer.
To much to young ?
Class

Doubt it, seeing as the link I posted was from his goals at Boca about 5 years ago. ( as I am a massive Boca fan)

Was pimping him a long time before he went to Genoa, there was a spoof story a while back where they said Arsenal were interested in him.
He wouldnt have got the work permit, but he has one now via the Italian passport he now posesses , which is why so many Premiership clubs are interested now

Re- Owen I still rated the guy upto about a couple of years ago

Fantastic finisher, kinda like the English version of Jean Pierre Papin

Shame the injuries did him in, on his day he was deadly, sucks that Capello didnt rate him , as at that time I felt he could still do a job for England.
The way he took the piss outa Ayala ( whom I rate as one of the best defenders in history) was sublime

Edit- fucking ninja'd by Brimz :)

Who is doing the commentary on that DVD ? It doesn't say . You better hope it's not some numpty !

Oh yeah we were proper shite on Sunday . I'm sick of us playing that rubbish it's an insult to the fans & the clubs tradition .

That guy Laudrup was a joy to watch

Always had a soft spot for Uruguay, a nation that punches way above its weight

3 million population and 2 world cups, and 15 south american championships

But that awesome danish team of the 80's destroyed them

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFzFKmbBJfI

Shame that at all that era the money was in Italy so Laudrup played for Lazio , and then Juventus and later both Real and Barca

Today a talent like him would probabaly be in the premiership

I have not even played it yet, I think its one of those generic eurosport commentators.

I was all excited about Uruguay & Francescoli in 86 & they were the terrible !! A team of hatchet men determined to kick everything but the ball .
Happened again minus the violence with Recoba who i thought was one of the best Serie A players of a generation .
Ninja'ed :) .

As a nation they never really put it together recently until they won the Copa America last year.

They have some major talent though for a nation of 3 million people , and I would fancy a crafty punt on them to win the world cup next year as they have a mad skilled core of players

Muslera is one of the best goalies in the world
Lugano and Diego Godin are both great defenders

Gaston Ramirez is a fine deep lying playmaker in a kaka mould

Up front
Suarez and Cavani are probably the best striker duo in world football at this time.

Get a crafty punt on them, they are much better than the 86 team where the only objective was to break the world record for fastest sending off's

I have seen them as low as 40/1 to win the world cup, which has to be worth a tenner

They will basically be one of 3 home teams along with Argentina and Brazil so adjusting to the climate etc will not be a problem

Falcao & Martinez look good as well .

I wouldn't put money on Uruguay it just kinda reminds me of Columbia in 1994 & we all know what happened their . 40/1 is decent ew value & i they have plenty going for them .
With World Cup betting you have to stake before the draw , well before qualification to get decent odds .

IN the last copa america they went undefeated winning the final 3-0 and conceding just 3 goals in 8 games including extra times

They are decent odds

The one team that scares me is Argentina, they beat Spain in a "Freindly" 3-0 in Buenos Aires and it wasnt really a friendly as both teams were at full strength

They have the talent to muller anyone, shame they have a crap goalie though , But with Messi anything is possible

I wil stick my neck out right now, a European team wont win the world cup in 2014 , it will be one of Uruguay, Brazil or Argentina

Fucking yes, can't believe how we got back in the game like that. At half time I'd lost all hope. Great game by Mario, DeRossi great player as usual.

Good thing the game has been played properly, doesn't even feel like a friendly

Unless there's some gross refree corruption going on ala Byron Moreno in Korea 02, I struggle to see how the Brazilians are going to win the WC, Spain, Italy, Germany and even Holland seem to be better at the moment, more organized and with new crops of players coming through the ranks. Also Argentina

Didnt England beat Brazil 2-1 just last month? Brazil arent looking like a team at all, ok few good players but they wont win anything if they keep playing like they do, germans would brush them aside.

Stuart Downing Q&A on twitter: It's going well for him I see.
