As an SF Giants fan not only do I have big expectations, but I get to watch some of the worlds greatest players to be. What's your fav. team, what are your expectations. So far I cannot believe how well Colorado is doing and how bad Boston is doing. Colorado is lucky, they put up big numbers cause that air is so thin in the mile high stadium. However, we Giants fans are lucky because it's a pitchers park (and the best park there is!)

josh johnson? lol please

in no order...CC..roy halladay..lincecum..felix hernandez..

josh johnson is good but those guys are all fucking great...i mean if you had to win game 7 your tellin me you would put josh johnson on the mound instead of roy halladay?

theres no way you would do that

have you seen him pitch this year? Have you seen the domination?

2 stats:

2.30 ERA in 2010 and 1.00 this year (best in NL)

36-12 (best in universe) since returning from surgery--on a crappy team

Josh Johnson has been dominating....

Game 7 would be Halladay or Beckett with Mariano Rivera pitching any requisite relief work.

Go Braves!!!! Time to start another pennant win streak.

Do they still have the steroid dispensers AT&T Park or no? Just messing with you.

I am a Oakland A's fan... The few the proud. I like our team this year. We have a ton of young talent on the mound. Hell right now Trevor Cahill is pitching better than Tim Lincecum. Cahill may be the most underated pitcher in the mlb he is 6-0 right now with a 1.72 ERA. I was happy to the giants win it all last season tho.

I liked your teams better when they were full of roiders. This season the teams of SF bay have scored fewer runs than anyone else in baseball.

speaking of A's (sort of)

Former slugger Jose Canseco skips boxing match, sends twin brother to Hard Rock event

Former baseball slugger and Miami-Dade resident José Canseco is at it again.
A representative of the firm Celebrity Boxing confirmed Sunday that Canseco was a no-show Saturday at a boxing event in Hollywood – and instead sent his twin brother Ozzie in his place, El Nuevo Herald has learned

Some 30 minutes before his bout against Billy Padden at the Passion nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, it was discovered that the Canseco who was in South Florida ready to fight was not the same guy who hit 462 homeruns in the Major Leagues.

Damon Feldman, promoter of the celebrity boxing program, which also includes female boxing, had tell about 400 fans who had paid their tickets that there would not be a fight.

“We discovered the Canseco who showed up was Ozzie when he took off his shirt and didn’t have José’s tattoos on the biceps that appear in our advertising,” a Celebrity Boxing representative told El Nuevo Herald. The man said he did not want to be identified.

Canseco showed up wearing sunglasses and never took off his T-shirt. “Nobody would have questioned then that it was not José Canseco,” the source said. “He looked identical.”

I don't have a favorite team, but I like Boston and Seattle.
Seattle has no chance of winning anything, of course.
Boston does, but I sometimes feel a bit of an "overpaid whining boys" vibe from them - not as much as the Yankees, though.
I am more interested in individual performance.
I want Pujols to hit .330 with 40 HR, and Ichiro to hit .350 with 50 steals.
I want Bautista to hit 60 HR.
I want the Phillies starting pitchers to do well - i want to see something remarkable from Cliff Lee and Roy Halliday, especially.

Forever a Mets fan, but boy do I love watching Lincecum pitch.

I am Tigers fan and it seems like they are either on a wining streak or a losing streak this season, no in between, it's frustrating. Their starting pitching has been great, I hate to see it wasted without run support. Jose Reyes would be a really nice acquisition, though we would have to give up a lot and get him to sign an extension.
The Mariners staff has been impressive, do you think they will sign Prince Fielder after this season?

I'll b a Yankees fan til the day I die. Jeters the fuckin man, hands down.

However I do like SF due to their comradery and sportsmanship. To me, as of right now, their success is the definition of teamwork.

must see collision: Buster Posey gets plowed at home plate:

it was legal, but was it dirty? Posey wasn't blocking the plate, but he wouldn't have dropped the ball if Cousins had slid.

the game this afternoon will be very interesting. The Giants will probably go after Stanton, and a brawl will likely ensue. Game at 15:45!!!

^ i watched that play live. It was cousins that did it not stanton.

Im not the biggest baseball fan and I dont know every rule in the book, but come on! Cousins had a easy slide to the bag ( would have probably been tagged out) so he decided to fun full bore into Posey whose legs were folded against the ground underneath him.

Easily a broken ankle, maybe torn ligaments in the knee. Really sucks the rookie of he year had to go down like that in a play that didnt need to happen. Its a dirty play IMO regardless of the rules.

Yeah, that play just seemed unnecessary. But let me qualify that by saying that I like the aggressiveness and boldness, because a lot of people have been claiming that baseball is 'going soft'. However, he could have been a little less dick but not just diving right at Posey, who as a previous poster said, wasn't blocking the plate.

Poor kid, nobody that young and successful wants to be injured and fucked out of a season.

^ ye i picked the redsox to go to the world series this year, pretty stacked team. Too bad my other pick (giants) is looking bleak with their best offensive player out for the season :(.
