2011-2012 football thread

Paul Scholes named as a sub for Man Utd today for the fa cup game against city.he will be in the utd squad till end of season.

For the first time am seriously feeling that my enjoyment of football is on the wane.

Players behaviour, utter media fuckwittery, xenophobic institutions...and the standard of supposedly top-class officiating in England is shocking

game of 2 halfs today with city/utd game.utd destroyed city and could have being 5up at ht then 2nd half city put utd under big pressure and scored 2 but could have got the draw.

the ref was shocking - no red card for Kompany maybe just a yellow-welbeck should not have got a yellow-giggs should have got a yellow then 2nd half both teams should have got penos.

I sympathise with you ageingfiend, thats how we all feel watching Liverpool aswell :D

Chris Foy ruined that game, with Utd 1-0 it couldve been even better than it was. Yellow for Kompany wouldve been more than enough. If he clattered Nani then a red but that was a joke decision. Anderson must feel like a total shit when Whiskey Nose is bringing on Scholes instead of him. Mancini shouldve punched the ITV guy at the end. Great cup tie though!

what happened at the end Suburu as i had to put Barney on after the match =D

Haha. No nothing except the guy who does the interviews on ITV(no idea who he is, but a total muppet) managed to piss off both managers. He started asking Mancini why/if he thought it was a red and what would have happened if there was 11 v 11, asking him if he was happy etc etc. Really awkward while Mancini was doing his best to be polite

That was a fix if ever i saw one! Great tie though with all the shit thats gone on. Tottenham away to Watford. Nice will take that. A trip to Wembley would go down sweet this year. Utd in the final!

Pretty sure kenny is a massive racist

I dunno but.

Does anyone else remember this? A few years ago I think Rooneys agent was involved in some sort of extortion trial. I'm sure I remember that it came out in the trial that when someone (possibly Rooneys agent, possibly not) was tied up in a room (under duress obviously, we're not talking kinky sex games) Kenny Dalglish had to admit to being in that room at the time. The implication being Dalglish was more than friendly with all these gangster types.

So I've often wondered how he became a 'fit and proper' person to run a football club?
