yeah, I forgot to mention before the Super Bowl that I think this would be the first SB to not include cheerleaders in the SB era (because only Pittsburgh, GB, and Cleveland do not have cheerleaders)

I think that's a great feat. past the college level, I don't see any reason to include cheerleaders in the NFL. I always admired GB, Cle, and Pitt for retaining their image of "working class" cities and states by ignoring cheerleaders

CS - I love Tomlin as well. it took me awhile to get used to him, because I'm used to some seriously legendary coaches at Pittsburgh (shit growing up I only remembered ONE coach - until Tomlin came around for my team). legendary Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and now Mike Tomlin

I'm happy that Tomlin is the youngest coach to ever win a SB, he seems like the kinda guy that deserves these accolades

more than that:

The following NFL teams do not have cheerleaders:

- The Pittsburgh Steelers
- The Chicago Bears
- The Cleveland Browns
- The New York Giants
- The Detroit Lions
- The Green Bay Packers

although green bay has an asterisk because sometimes they get the Uni of W cheerleaders to cheer at their games.

i am still waiting someone to clarify what this mysterious third charge is...

http://www.politicolnews.com/roethlisberger-3rd-rape/

The alleged rape was in Miledgeville Georgia and the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence gathered by the DA office. This man was accused 3 times already although his case of being sued by a woman in Reno Andrea McNulty is still pending from 2 years ago.

Today another court didn’t have the fortitude to prosecute this football player perhaps because of his football career, expensive lawyers and bullying tactics from the NFL who investigated the charges also. The woman was seen by a doctor and visual signs of physical trauma typically found in raped women that were recorded after the alleged rape incident happened to her.

There was no release of information regarding any DNA samples requested of Roethlisberger or whether his DNA was found on the body of the woman as evidence of sexual contact either by force or otherwise. Without these tests being conducted it is inconclusive as to whether he did rape the woman or not and he has not defended himself at all in any statement other than a denial of the case and evidence.

"rape" isn't that mysterious to me..

since my S&G brethern, like TLM, like playing this Jordy fucking Shipley what if game...

I have a what if scenario for you. if Santonio Holmes was still on the Pittsburgh Steelers, during their last drive and last chance to win/score... the Pittsburgh Steelers would be the Super Bowl Champions

this is such a fact, I don't know how you could disagree with me. Mike Wallace is tight, but he threw away a down because he was confused/couldn't get the play in the hurry-up. someone like Santonio would have burned a Woodson-less GB Packers defense

thoughts??

^How can I forget? That was the first year I really got into the NFL and was a Ram's fan(I started liking them in week 5, I had no idea they were 4-0, I just liked playing with them in Madden)

I watched that game with my brother, who is a huge Bucs fan, fucking awesome.

Early prediction - St. Louis wins the NFC west next year:)

fucking sappy alert -- Nadin Kuhory, victim of bullying, gets surprise lovefest from Philly Eagles linemen

espn article

Among the burdens of a married American male are to provide shelter, put food in the cupboards and occasionally sit through showings of "The View."

Which is what my wife and I were doing last week when we saw something that made it hard to speak, much less drink our coffee.

A 13-year-old boy named Nadin Khoury told about how he'd been attacked by seven bigger schoolmates, kicked, beaten, dragged through the snow, stuffed into a tree, and hung on a 7-foot spiked fence, all while adults watched.

The boy was only 5-foot-2, but he'd made up his mind to stand tall no matter how much of his pride bled out. As the brutal video played on a screen behind him, his collar stayed buttoned, his spine straight, but his bottom lip quivered.

"Next time maybe it could be somebody smaller than me," he said, loud and clear, like the Marine he wants to be someday. "Maybe next time, somebody could really get hurt."

That's when host Elisabeth Hasselbeck said, "There are some guys here who want to tell you just how brave you are."
From behind the curtain came three Philadelphia Eagles -- All-World receiver DeSean Jackson, center Jamaal Jackson and guard Todd Herremans.

Khoury seemed at once shocked, overwhelmed and redeemed. Where once his chin stuck out as best it could, it now fell open in wonder. He looked like a kid who'd forgotten it was Christmas morning. He wept without wiping his tears. Jackson sat as close to him as possible, as if to make the two one. He praised the boy for his bravery and added, "Anytime ever you need us, I got two linemen right here."

Nadin's mom cried, Whoopi Goldberg cried, my wife cried and I cried.

i cried too.
