200mg of morphine = How many mg of oxycodone?

Its 100mg that is released over 12hrs = so that's about 8.3mg per hour. The shit thing about them is the low oral BA.
 
Oxy is a lot more potent than morphine, particularly as morphine BA is shit.

According to the link in my sig, 100mg oral morphine = ~60mg oxy, though i'd personally say it was probably lower than that, about 40mg.

EDIT: misread title as 100mg oxy, so 200mg would be ~100-120mg.

I made the Bluelight Opioid Conversion Chart and I gave him the right answer.

One more question. With a 100mg MS contin, over what period of time is the drug released if you just swallow the pill? (IE. 20mg an hour, 20mg every two hours, etc.)

The above poster was right - its about 8 mg/hr.

Oxy is not A LOT more potent than morphine, it is about 1.5x more potent orally. By injection, whether IV/IM/SC, morphine is 2x more potent.
And your calculation is wrong. 120 mg morphine = 80 mg oxycodone, so 200 mg morphine = 140 mg oxycodone.

Your personal opinion matters little here. I got my information through a whole lot of research before I made the Bluelight Opioid Conversion Chart.

Either way though, if he's unsure of the doses he should be taking, should start with a low threshhold dose to gauge personal tolerance, so yeah, assume that it's higher conversion ratio.

You are right, starting with a lower dose and going up as needed is the best and safest way to go.
 
I posted the same question but reversed. I typically take 70-80 mgs of Oxycontin op's which I chew up but I heard that doesn't do much to break the time release. I've so far taken 1 1/2 MScontins which is abotu 150 mgs with almost no discernible high though the cravings have gone away. What's a good dose for me to lay back and listen to some tunes and stop giving a fuck that I failed my Spanish exam?
