what a graceful ending to their 11 game streak last night, btw. youkilis had that beautiful diving stop to make a perfect underhand toss to lopez who was covering first. lopez got ahead of himself and took his eyes off the ball, was ready to make the 3rd out before he was ready to catch the ball... tribe scores on some heads up base running by derosa (thanks cubs!). 9-8 final. =D

btw, i hate the red sox's new unis. who'd have thought that putting names on the back of their shirts and the patch on the shoulder would make such a big difference?
 
Im a Giants fan and Mariners fan, because they both have excellent pitching. The last three games the mariners starting pitchers have been on FIRE, too bad we lost 2 of them : ( And I just finished watching Lincecum wreak havoc on the dodgers

Yeah, no kidding. I was actually going to say something about this myself.

As much as I hate to admit since I hate the team, I thought the uniforms the Red Sox had been using for the past decade or so were pretty slick. Nice colors, classic look and nothing too fancy. These new uniforms they have are ugly as sin. What the hell were they thinking?
 
I am a Huuuuuuge Reds fan and as for their chances this year...I think they have solid starting pitching from the 1 to the 4 spot. 5th starter Micah Owings is shaky, but he can hit pretty good.

They might have the NL MVP in "The Canadian Clubber" Joey Votto, who right now is hitting over .325 and over .500 with RISP.

I think they will finish 2nd in the hardest and most unfair division in Baseball, the NL Central. The Cards will finish 1st, cause they are sweet.

What I would like to know is how the fuck it is fair the AL WEST only has four teams (which means a 1 out of 4 chance of making the playoffs) yet the NL CENTRAL has 6 teams (which means only a 1 out of 6 chance of making the playoffs, not including 2 wild card slots).
Wouldn't it be more fair to the NL Central teams and the rest of baseball to maybe move the Astros the AL West? It would also make more sense geographicaly.

What a bunch of bullshit.

i've never understood, for the life of me, why the brewers even moved to the NL. i understand the geographic aspect of the divisions and what not, but still, there had to be an easier fix than to do what was done. you're right too, moving the astros to the AL west would be a perfect (and sensible) fix. as it stands... 4 divisions with 5 teams, 1 division with 6 teams, and 1 division with 4 teams is just fucking stupid. it makes no sense whatsoever.

pump the breaks? impossible im not equipped with any! . im willing to bet all my dignity on this forum and make the bold statement that I 100% for a fact know the dodgers will be playing in October.

if im wrong Administration has the right to remove 1,000 posts off my count. and that's worth WAY more than any dollar value to a troll like me.

the los angeles dodgers play in october 100%

10,000? Thats a little much, since the NL west sucks cock for the most part. I say add 1,000 posts max, or maybe a custom "#1 Dodger Fan" tag. ;)
 
^ the NL west DOES suck balls. the dodgers were the only respectable team in that division last year and that was debatable before manny came to town. they should win their division by default. i wouldn't be surprised to see them make it to the series, but that's a LONG road to travel yet.
 
It's pretty exciting up in Toronto these days with the Jays in first and scoring a ton of runs. Nobody's printing playoff tickets or anything but it would be nice if they could at least be in the hunt this year.

And the Dodgers are as close to a lock for the playoffs as anybody. Who in that division is going to catch them?

You are right, the Dodgers will definitely be playing in October. And so will the other 29 MLB teams since the regular season runs through October 4th.
