I could only save $10/week if I *never* wanted to go out.. my livelihood is based paycheck to paycheck and that's not going to change until I get out of college.

Fair enough. I realise that saving is going to be hard (or impossible) for some people. $10/week doesn't sound like a lot to me seeing as I'm working full-time. Shame - I would have very much liked to meet you. Maybe I can swing through the US on my way to wherever this meetup is going to be
