Alright, I've figured out a way to finance my trip already.

In an homage to the projected Amsterdam meetup site, I'll be whoring myself out by selling pre-booked time/BLer sponsorship slots. Slots are booked by the hour, and rates are on a sliding scale depending on the activity you wish to book.

Sexorz - $250 US per hour, plus sliding scale activity rate based on activity/toys desired (inquire further for activity rates list)
Tattooing "_____ was here" (or other BLer logo) on my ass - $2,500 US plus artist's fee
Sharpieing "_____ was here" on my ass - $25 US per ass ad space, $1,000 US for entire ass ad space
Cuddlepuddling - Market Price


The Sharpie Package is an especially attractive package for those BLers who want to attend and whose BL stature will be greatly enhanced by doing so, but who may be uncertain they can actually make it. Said package will include a pic of said BLer's ad on said bared ass beside an Amsterdam landmark, "proving" that the BLer in question did in fact attend. Memories of BLers who actually did attend will be so hazy from the event that they will be unable to dispute the veracity and ownership of the ass in question.

The Tattoo Package includes all of the attractive features of the Sharpie package above, but offers the special deluxe commemorative tattoo as well.

The Sexorz Package includes a complimentary bottle of bubbly, and all bookings will be conducted in my luxurious Champagne Room suite.

The CuddlePuddler's Special is listed at "market price" because...it just won't happen.

sorry...I shoulda read all the posts...maybe I'll just take a cruise to wherever the meetup is going to be...best of both worlds.

If the folks in charge assume 2,000 BLers will show up, or even 200 to give a more realistic number, they might be influenced to put a fairly sizeable deposit down on renting a venue and lining up sound. And then when the majority of the bandwagon pie-in-the-skyers flake as they invariably do and only a handful show up, the ones putting up the money lose their shirts.

I'd have thought you would have a good grasp of that.

who said we were throwing some sort of big, costly event? if we did it around ADE, everyone could just get tickets for that if they wanted to hear music and be around bluelighters. or we could just all meet up in vondel park if we wanted to get everyone together in a big, free location.

you could have a big private party if you wanted. just charge for tickets in advance and even if people don't show up, you'll have their ticket money to pay for the venue.
