2005 Mlb!

I love Ozzie Guillen, because no matter how great the ChiSox may end up being, he will be the reason why everyone will just look at this team as a collection of fucking clowns. The guy is supposed to be a leader, instead he is a circus act. We'll see how good of a manger he is when the expectations are higher and the ChiSox start hitting tough stretches. I beleive that's what defines a great manager.

The Tribe did choke, though.

All that aside, I think it's going to be Yankees/Astros in the world series, but it's tough to call to call this year. I don't think any team is far and away better than any other team. I def don't think the Braves or Padres are going, though.

now that Peavy (and SD's slim chances) are done for the season... I'll have to wish for a White Sox/Cards World Series. While I wouldn't mind the Halos as a substitute, I can't stand Halos fans. Plus...hell if the Red Sox won a ring, the White Sox are due then. :D

jesus, all the first games have been blowouts. a 5 run inning by astros today gave them a 10-3 lead giving them the freedom to save pettit and use our shittiest pitchers

speaking of 5 runs, morgan ensberg had 5 RBIs, tying an Astros post season record (beltran shares it) and I just saw the red sox give the white sox a 5 run inning when millar let a double play roll between his legs - shades of buckner TR?

edit: i guess it was Graffanino who made the error

Down 0-2, a familiar place for the BoSox.. I think the magical ride ends this series..

Astros looked good today too..

It's not shades of Buckner.

We weren't on the verge of winning a series of any sort.

Graff came back and hit a double in the 9th, setting the table for Damon or Renteria to drive him in.

The Sox don't have the best pitching in the league, by far. Therefore, they cannot afford any fucking errors, especially in such key situations.

They also rely heavily on their bats, which save a few spurts, have been dormant this post season.

I say ChiSox in 4.

Unfuckngreal.

yeah but you were on the verge of winning a basically must win game, and the ball dribbled through his legs, very buckner like IMO

Since when is 1 out in the 5th inning "on the verge of" the game being over?

Buckner still getting blamed?? just like bartman and the cubs..

Buckners blooper was in game 6, the sox still lost game 7.. Same with the cubs..

Leave those 2 alone and focus on whats ahead.. Graffs error didnt allow any runs, but it allowed for extra outs..

I mean to be honest, I'm pissed the sox are down 2-0 in the divisional (even though I think they'll come back), but even if they did lose, I can't honestly say I would be even close to as pissed as I've been in years past. Next year the "hangover" from the WS title will probably wear off, but I'm honestly still floating from last october right now.

Surprisingly, soooo many people are not aware of these facts. Very nice observation.
