I was wondering...how do i find out if a game is re-scheduled or not? About how long does it usually take, and where would I find out?

There's a very good chance that game won't be rescheduled, James.

Both teams schedules are tight rest of the way out. Unless the standings come down to 1/2 a game or so, it probably will be left not being played.

at this point in the season, it may be too late for a double header, so there would probably only be 7-10 days with which they could be possibly make it up

i cant wait till october! so lets see we have a stros fan, a red sox fan, the yanks are probably out. any cards, braves, white sox, angels, A's, or *chuckles* padres fans out there?

the NL wild card is pretty open. Even though i am biased, everyone seems to agree the astros have the best chance. at some point they will go 12-15 and from then on, it will be all but guaranteed

:(

that sucks. oh well. ill just go to a new game then i guess.

well tell us what team it is. in order for them to play a double header, they have to have another series scheduled with each other. if they dont, they have to have a day off that coincides

i always thought they just tacked on games to the end of the season, even when all playoff spots have been decided, and never gave people back a single dime.

what are these refunds you speak of? im sure steinbrenner would be happy to give them back, i mean its a drop in the bucket to him right ;)

LMAO

ive heard that a few of these games are the shortest ever played, like 70 pitches per pitcher because every batter just goes up and swings at the first pitch.

You heard it here <second>: Roger Clemens apparently tested positive for steroids... Purely speculation at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

well i can only take credit for the speculation. if he indeed does test positive, then you get a special prize (while i sit alone in my bedroom and sob into a pillow)

^ i really dislike him...i hope its true and he gets in a lot of trouble for my personal opinion.

^what do have against cavemen? haven't you seen those geico commercials? lets try and be a little more culturally sensitive to our neanderthal counterparts

Rumor squashed
Major League Baseball officials received at least a dozen phone calls yesterday regarding a rumor MLB was about to announce that Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon had tested positive for steroids, with an announcement coming today.

''Total BS," one official said. MLB and the players' union had released a joint press release last week, vehemently denying that more prominent players had tested positive in the aftermath of Rafael Palmeiro's failed test.

''People want to start something with anybody," Damon said. ''I'd be more than happy to take any test. There's no way. If I test positive for something, it's going to be because someone threw something in a drink or did something like that."

Epstein said he had not heard the rumors until after arriving at the ballpark.

''I'm not going to honor that by commenting," he said. ''You guys [reporters] probably would agree that the reporting about the steroid issue has taken on almost witch-hunt proportions in some circles, and I think it's wrong."
