2000mg of guaiphenesin

That will likely induce a lot of nausea and vomiting, depending on whether its instant release or time released.
 
It depends on the person, I've seen it be pretty severe although I've never experienced it.

The maximum you're supposed to take is 2400mg/24 hours, so taking 2000mg at once could definitely cause some issues. Its no more medically dangerous than vomiting from anything else, but it could be unpleasant.
 
I once had 6g of it with 300mg of dxm and I was a little nauseated, nothing unusual.
Another time I had about 240mg of dxm with about 4.8g of guaio, and out of nowhere I vomit so fuckin hard several times. I vomited on so much shit and it smelled like vomit+cough syrup for 2 weeks or so. Man that was intense. And I was too drunk and lazy to clean up, I went right to bed so the vomit really had a chance to get in there.
 
I assume you are asking because you have either a bottle or capsules that contain dxm and guaifenesin. If I were you, I would just get some other dxm-only product to avoid vomiting. But it is not really dangerous, it will just make you sick
 
^^ word. they might not be available OTC in all states/cities, but you can definitely get plain pills/gellcaps that are dxm-only, no other nasty chemicals. Robitussin Cough Gels and Delsym syrup are generally around. Just go to the local pharmacy, and read the boxes/bottles. look for something with DXM as the only active ingredient, no guifenasen, chloropheniramine, acetominophen, etc...
 
The easiest one to find for me is the vicks 44 dry cough syrup......it contains 30mg of dxm per serving only. Almost every pharmacy has them.
