Does magnesium oxide help with the biting and chewing? Or do i need magnesium sulfate or citrate? Also I'm at the stage where it takes me about 4-5 hrs after coming down that I could finally fall asleep so I bought Melatonin (3mg). Is it safe to take 2 after rolling or should I just take 1? Ive been on a 3 month break if anyone needed to know that lol and I'm rolling next weekend and definetly not looking forward to grinding lol and I want some sleep:D. Thanks in advance guys!!! Much <3

Magnesium Citrate would be your best bet i think, The one above that is quite pricey
As for the melatonin, Im not sure of that one really

Oxide is supposed to be the worst I think, it will help but not that much. Better than nothing.

Melatonin is a great supplement. You'll need to take it for a week before your roll though, every night at the same time. Its more meant to get you into a sleeping rhythm, than to just knock you out. Take one every night the week or two before, and 2 the night after your roll should really put you out.

Sometimes you just cannot sleep though... in those cases taking a sleeping pill will just make you drowsy and feeling like shit... so be aware of that

Yes. I usually tell people who buy oxide to just throw it out. It's absolute crap.
I suppose if the OP is only planning on using it once or twice though :\ 400mg-500mg at most.

Melatonin is indeed amazing. A true flagship anti again supplement. 6mg of melatonin is overkill however. I used to take only 250µg-300µg per night.

Yes, micrograms(µgs). :)

I honestly don't know why it's sold in such huge amounts. Granted, I wasn't necessarily taking it for sleep purposes, I was more interested in its anti aging effects and how it protects the pineal gland. Still, taking such huge amounts is likely to screw with your endogenous production.

I see a study on melatonin, saying that basically you dont need loads for it to work, and tests show that more of it doesnt seem to necessarily work better.

In fact.
I'm not one who has sleeping problems, but my bro is. So he was taking melatonin to see if it would help, i took about 2-3mg (I was stoned too) and i didnt fall asleep until sunrise, where i fell into the deepest sleep/dream like state ever.
Usually though, i go to sleep between 11pm - 12pm (SNoree I know im boring )

Thank you everyone! Yeah I already bought the magnesium oxide lol but looks like I'll go pick up the citrate:) as for the melatonin I took 1 when I first bought it and didn't make me that tired, only a tiny bit so I took 2 and it got me sleepy, but then again I wasn't rolling either lol. I'll start taking it once a night tho and hopefully it'll work for when I do roll next weekend:)

Melatonin is supposed to help the brain, memory as well as sleeping issues. It increases non-REM sleep and makes it easier for you to fall asleep.

Melatonin is an extremely powerful antioxidant. You would do well to take it once you come down. It does not need to be taken for any period of time for the antioxidant effects.

However, if you are trying to get on a sleep schedule, it does take a few days to really work. I wonder why they put the pills in such huge doses though, 3mg makes me groggy in the morning. .75mg is much more effective for me.

Unless you want vivid dreaming then load up......

I researched melatonin a while back and the only indication it was used for was jet-lag... It helps to restore circadian rhythm. For the rest it's chit.
It even stimulated breast grow in men :p

^ cannabis raised my bank overdraft levels thats for sure

"This brief resume enumerates the multiple actions of melatonin as an antioxidant.
This indoleamine is produced in the vertebrate pineal gland, the retina and possibly
some other organs. Additionally, however, it is found in invertebrates, bacteria, unicellular organisms as well as in plants, all of which do not have a pineal gland.
Melatonin’s functions as an antioxidant include: a), direct free radical scavenging,
b), stimulation of antioxidative enzymes, c), increasing the efficiency of mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and reducing electron leakage (thereby lowering
free radical generation), and 3), augmenting the efficiency of other antioxidants.
There may be other functions of melatonin, yet undiscovered, which enhance its ability to protect against molecular damage by oxygen and nitrogen-based toxic reactants. Numerous in vitro and in vivo studies have documented the ability of both
physiological and pharmacological concentrations to melatonin to protect against
free radical destruction. Furthermore, clinical tests utilizing melatonin have proven
highly successful; because of the positive outcomes of these studies, melatonin’s use
in disease states and processes where free radical damage is involved should be increased."

^ Wasn't that also a study on cannabis too? As cannabis raises melatonin levels right?
Just about melatonin.
I even talked about melatonin with my doctor: he said it was something old, it isn't being prescribed anymore.

I never tried using melatonin after mdma myself.
My hangovers are non existent, darksideam his diet does wonders... :)

For what it's worth, I can't tolerate oral magnesium in any form very well. Magnesium oil is a great substitute. Save your money: heat up some water and add epsom salt until it won't dissolve. Pour into a spray bottle (leave the undissolved crystals) and apply as much as you want. Dilute if you need to. Some crystals may crash out as the solution cools - no problem.

Point being, correcting my magnesium deficiency did wonders for my sleep issues.
