2,4 dinitrophenol (DNP) is an organic solvent that has been used in the past for weight loss, from what I know. It is legal, and I have a decent understanding of its biochemical action (it boosts metabolic rate), but I would like to know if anyone has ever used this drug before, and if so, what effects they noticed? I'm not sure it's recreational, however, it could be somewhat recreational. There seems to be very little info on this drug which is perhaps why I am so interested.
Anyways, any info would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

isn't DNP that substance which some bodybuilders use to loose all their waterretention before a competition?! if it is, that stuff is REAL nasty. You'll get so hot it feels like your dying and so sweatty it's hard to stand, it's really really nasty.
if it's not then i'm sorry for ranting about absolutely nothing of any significance at all. phew. hehe. ;)

DNP is no longer legal in capsulated form. This happened fairly recently.
DNP has no recreational value whatsover, unless having yellow bodily secretions and a 103 degree temperature is your idea of fun :-)
I'm pretty open to bodybuilding drugs. Steroids, GH, Thyroid Hormone...all have their place when used safely. Not DNP. It frightens me to hear about people taking the stuff. It can cause mitochondrial DNA damage, halt cell division, and especially dangerous for females, it acts as a teratogen on your eggs.
This stuff is poison...make no mistake about it.
