Heroin 1st Time Heroin Near Death

Now up until this point I had 4 tallboys

That's where you fucked up. While overdosing on opiates alone is definitely possible, most overdoses happen when mixing CNS depressants like alcohol or benzos. Let's just assume a person normally takes 30mg oxycodone to get high. That person could probably (don't try this at home) get away with taking 50-60mg and not have serious problems. Maybe puke a couple times and then want to lay down and nod. However, if the same person drank a couple beers or took some xanax, the same 30mg oxycodone he's used to could send him to this hospital.

The beer combined with you taking a very strong opiate that you've never even done before was a very bad move. Hope you learned your lesson.

tl;dr: Don't mix CNS depressants kids.

4) And the person above had a good point, if it was to improve your music why were you watching UFC? Just be honest with us and yourself... You do Percs and wanted to get higher so you tried heroin. Don't say it was for your music.

Most people here on BL would educate themselves and never do what you did.
Do yourself a favor man and be a good husband and father and don't do anything like that ever again.

why the fuck does it matter what he was doing while under the influence? so he was watching some UFC - awesome. a heroin high lasts between 4 and 6 hours and can easily be topped up for an extensive high.

the guy doesn't sound like a retard and obviously did some research but may have gotten his figures mixed up by racking every 10min instead of 30mins. i just don't see any need to jump down the guys throat for such trivial reasons.

he fucked up and knows, so educate the man instead retaliating with stupid questions which have nothing to do with what is at hand.

i don't mean to just single you out, there's others in here who need a reality check and remind themselves where they are.

be courteous and help the guy out instead of jumping down his throat. they're more likely not to come back and repeat the occasion or pick up bad habits along the way from other uninformed users,

/rant over

good practice is to have a friend with you to call emergency services immediately if things start to go wrong. let someone know what you're doing. have the emergency response number dialed into your phone in case of emergency,

who the fuck told you heroin makes you a better musician, heroin is the downfall of great musicians.

you're obviously not familiar with bill hicks.

take all your music and burn it. that is all.

in an opiate virgin to some degree, heroin + 4 tallboys (a fairly generous helping of beer) = dead. be grateful that youre alive, and dont risk trying heroin again. live to see your kid grow up.

just my $0.02

Oh and yea, definitely not the greatest idea to mix 2 litres of beer before experimenting with heroin for the first time...

For real. I had a really big scare this past weekend with a buddy of mine. Just got back from seeing Morbid Angel, and while at the show, he was pounding back beers and a couple of shots. While he has been dabbling with H lately, he still doesn't use that often, so his tolerance is not as high as mine (I'm a daily IV user). He loads up a shot (which was not as much as I normally put out), registers, hits, and then sits back and enjoys the rush. Couple of minutes later, I look over and he looks sound asleep. I notice his lips appear blue and he suddenly starts making strange breathing sounds, as if he's trying to breathe with chunks of puke in his lungs, or something. I go over and tell him to wake up. He doesn't. At this point he's totally unresponsive and his entire body is limp. I start to freak. I stash everything in the apartment, I start picking him up and he's like a rag doll in my arms. I open his eyes and he not only didn't respond, but there was no life in them. I check his pulse. It's slow. I splash ice cold water on his face. Nothing. Check pulse again, now there's no beat. I'm about to call 911, when suddenly I decide to perform CPR. Did that, then suddenly he starts coughing and breathing harder, and his eyes open up. It took him over 40 minutes to regain normal consciousness and even then he was still out of it. Dude throws his arms around me and cries, thanking me that I brought him back to life. I do the stupidest thing in the world right after. I set up a victory shot and got back on the nod

Alcohol + no opiate tolerance = RECIPE FOR OD.
