Ohio police have arrested an alleged drug kingpin, a 17-year-old accused of running a multimillion dollar ring that distributed high-grade marijuana through two school districts and netted $20,000 a month.

When cops raided the boy's bedroom at his parents' home, they found over $6,000 in cash, prosecutors said.

Authorities have not released the student's name, because he was a 16-year-old minor at the time he committed the alleged drug deals. Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said the boy will be tried as juvenile.

Cops first became aware of a high-grade hydroponic strain of marijuana being sold for $350-$400 an ounce in the Mason school district near Cincinnati last year. An undercover agent began making buys at Mason High School, where the teenager was a student, and uncovered a dealing operation headed by the arrested student.

and this is news how? lol.....multi-million dollar my ass....if it was 20,000 a month, it would take over 4 years to net a single million...and thats net, not profit....guaranteed these growers had other people selling for them. this kid was no kingpin, just a midlevel supplier and part time dealer

EDIT: just noticed that it says "helped lead cops". im hoping that, based on the fact that it doesnt say "led cops" that it was just based on some info the kid accidentally gave up. if he straight up snitched though....he better hope he moves after he is released from juvie, cause people will be gunning for him

Lol us young kids can get involved in drug rings but I don't believe he was a kingpin. I would say more but I'm too paranoid to comment on this.

because drug bust figures are never exaggerated

this isnt really news, just another kid who will probably turn informant

I would never pay such prices for an ounce of weed. Ohio can keep their bullshit prices along with their kiddie "kingpins". Like was said earlier, just another street dealer probably hustling up money to afford his tux and limo for prom next year (or support his new heroin habit; i'm speaking from experience). Whats new really, he was probably just selling to his friends at sleep overs and lock-ins since half of his clientel probably cant even legally drive yet.
