I know tolerances vary person to person. Swim had back surgery on March 24 and was given a script for 5mg valium thrice daily, and it's been about 3.5 months. Swim is about 240lb with decent muscle but some turned to fat from being laid up. Swims first question is: would you consider swims tolerance to be relatively low or moderate? Second, Swim just took more than prescribed for the first time today, 10x5mg 3 hours ago. They feel very chill and just a bit of eyelid heaviness. They are considering taking more, but is this dose sufficient and therefore redosing is wasteful? Swim might do it one more time tomorrow with a day home laying in bed, but has already left a message with their psychiatrist to help devise a taper plan.

Firstly, feel free to, rather please do use the first person when posting on these forums.

Onto the issue! Your tolerance after your pattern or therapeutic use would indeed be considered quite low, and increasing your dose above the 50mg you've ingested would in my opinion be a waste even if it would surely intenaifdy the subjective effects briefly. The thing about benzos is that a great deal of the euphoria experienced, though with diazepam this applies somewhat less so, is due to the actual anxiolysis itself and the relative difference in anxiety levels between before and after drug effect and whatever secondary euphoria and relaxation quickly melts back to what is mistaken for near baseline.

In other words, I person ally would not increase my dose past where you are at the moment.
