Not quite positive how you get ones that are released after right now --- but you guys prolly have a rough idea.

they have a 2 TB lightgun too --- So if you ever want to buy just "All" the video games you have an option ...... 5k is quite an inflated price IMO -- but I don't know how to put one together so Id be one of the fools that paid it!

Also of gaming interest (Looks like a ps2 with the entire library is in the near future)

M.A.M.E is your friend.

Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator started as an Arcade Machine emulator. It started as a Windows only app but now runs on Unix and other OS's. It has since expanded into 99% of video games ever published. Some of my old work when I was in the industry is faithfully kept for posterity.
Rom packages are distributed in various web sites that pop up and disappear. If one uses M.A.M.E ROMs as a search term I would be very surprised if one didn't find every single ROM that they are selling, only for free.

^ It very much bothers me you are twice as tech sophisticated as me --- actually it doesn't bug me, it reminds me I have no good excuse!

I just have no real desire to learn about these things or take any risks that would be involved.....I'd rather pay the convenience cost. Not 5k certainly that ish is insane and prolly costs like 2k to build TOPS -- Alot of time I presume though with getting the roms, the emulators for each thing -- making sure they are 'compatible' or w/e ----- I gave up on that and decided to go with one system (Being the ps2) with as many games as possible.....

Review to come soon -- 1 TB modded PS2 with 500 backed up games on the HDD. I would have went ps4 and playstation plus but I live in the middle of the woods where there is no service and PlayStations site would not help at all when it came to speculating or informing me if there was good service in my area

I linked the wrong video didn't I --- apologies and one second! --- THERE WE GO lol I can hardly link the right YouTube I cant be messing around like that! You are an inspiration though C K!

^Absolutely it is what I (we?) call convenience cost.

someone like me who doesnt know shit about tech; well I dont need all the video games ever im set with 1k ps2 games honestly --- but say I did and could afford such a monstrosity I would buy it as is rather than learn 20 different new things about computers -- prolly fck it up a few times -- spend many and many of hour (which if I could afford that my time must be worth decent money? lol) etc.

Same as paying a little extra to not go into the hood and grab your dope -- yup you gunna pay a little more but if you dont know how to navigate that situation it very well may be worth it.

Or not hunting and prepping your own food -- you could do it, it would be cheaper.....Ill still take the grocery store.

BTW NOT ARGUING FOR THIS PRODUCT the price point is INSANE - just explaining the concept.

What you really gotta do is get them "Souljaboy consoles" now those are some top of the line ... I cant even say it sarcastically in worry someone may listen

By the way for those who havent checked out the other thread the PS2 with 2TB's worked out fcking great!! (But I do not demand or really want any newer games too much, theyd be nice but im not whining-- assassins creed looked fun I will admit)

Neat but I wouldnt want thousands of games I dont play. I have the retroid pocket 5 (wish I got the 12gb ayn thor) but it plays nearly everything up until switch and some higher end pc games.

for me nothing beats the real console
playing a game on an emulator is nothing like sitting down and turning on your console and tv and playing it the authentic way
I've used handheld emulators before and it isn't that good
if you really wanna replay your childhood games do it the way you did it all those years ago
go buy a crt tv, go buy the console (or dig it out of your attic) and pop in the game and have much more of an authentic time than you ever will have on an emulator

also these games where made for the original console, you know its not gonna feel right because the game is not made for it
just my two cents though

Different strokes for different folks. Android emulation is getting good. I like the ease of use amd accessibility and not paying an arm and a leg for games. But it is piracy, so I understand some people will have reservations.

nah me either -- hence opting for the ps2 with ALMOST full category for a couple hundred.

This was just more a "look at this shit" type of post lol I am not recommending it -- or even saying it works right with every game. *fckin better at that price but hell if I know*

Ok this is too funny -- so I am about 60% through sonic unleashed and they borrowed SO MUCH from mario 64. When sonic clears a race a THICK ITALIAN ACCENT "Peez a' cake" (Is that same clip in mario 64 cuz it sounded so familiar)
The thing where mario follows a path in the air -- borrowed. The same exact walk down a dark hallway concept to enter new place/stage borrowed. THE SPINNING FLAME BRICKS, Borrowed!

For a sonic game it feels so much like mario 64 repurposed that it is just weird. PS -- if you are dying for a mario64 like game (Well lot of tutorial shit and save screens that slow you down to be honest) But plays damn similar

I feel ya on that mane but thanks to a bunch of hipster social media influencers promoting nostalgia for an era that took place before they were even in their mother's womb; old school game and console prices have sky rocked. Not everyone has enough money to buy a bunch of valuable collector's items.

you can jailbreak the ps3, I've got 1 somewhere with mame on it, also have done the same to the switch.

later console support is a bit flaky whatever platform you're using even on a PC

I owned too many of these consoles at the time, started my modding journey with a CD rom drive on the SNES and also had a chipped PS1 back in the day that I soldered onto the board myself, I have a cease and desist letter somewhere from Sony for selling mod chips.....

sad honest truth, massive free library of games = you don't bother playing anything.

there's something about desiring a game, saving up for it, and playing the fuck out of it that gets lost when you pirate it

and the prices of the stuff in this thread is taking the piss given what can be done for free with a little bit of effort by following a simple guide

This has not been true for me, I have beat like 15 out of the 'top 100 ps2' game list that I happen to be looking at since getting a modded ps2.

What is true is picking a new game to commit to is a bit more difficult with that many options, im like halfway through silent hill 3, evil dead fist full of boomstick, resident evil biohazard --- and I cant seem to get very far into the ps2 contra that I hapen to have, forget the title.

Anyways it has been very much worth having and I doubt I would have played a ps4 as much as the games are more expensive and psplus looked iffy in my area.
