I want to sit in a room where
the walls are very green.
I will stay completely still
for no reason at all.
When I stand silent
orchestral music should
well up behind me.
Spotlights will illuminate me at
varying times of the day
and the night.
Leaves falling in the sunlight
A blue couch, a red chair
yellow flowers in a clear vase.
I will walk down long hallways in
short dresses.
Wear dark clothing and
red lipstick.
My three thousand mile bus rides
will always end in reunions:
childhood bedrooms
reclasping of hands.
I will lean on glass counters
Hear loud music in small bars
See headlights on green grass.
You will deliver a single rose
in a long thin box.
Red hair, green wall.
I will smile sadly.
