i've been detoxing off suboxone 8 days and havent slept-depression, insomnia, severe pan. gets worse every day, want to take something so i can rest for once and start getting better. all i can find are 10mg vics, would that help?

after about 8 days clean of sub I think 10 mg vics would definitely help.. Be very careful tho.. Use the least ammount over the shortest period possible.. Or else your just going to have a new habbit on your hands.. Although kicking something with as short a half life as hydrocodone would be much easier than kicking bupe.

It could help if you were to use it extremely sparingly, but think about it, using just a very small amount of buprenorphine might be better.

If you are 8 days into being clean I would just keep going from there, eventually you will feel better.

Are you saying you just stopped taking buprenorphine after being at a 8mg dosage?

i was on it for a few months, my problem has always been shooting dope (and the old ocs) when i was 15 i wouldn't take vics. where i live i could easily have crossed the street and got a bag (in my 8 days of being awake i've seen so many cars come thru and cop but THAT i'm not giving in to), and pills here are hard to come by because this is dope city, people who need them are presumed to be drugseekers, but the pain has kept me up for 8 days and im getting delirious and sicker. all i can get here are a couple of mild pills, enough to get some rest and then my body can begin to recooperate. couldn't get more if i wanted to. strictly pain relief

People who need pills are drug seekers? What are people looking for heroin called? Lots of people taking pain meds are strictly for pain & eventually they get hooked, its simple!

Count me in to that. But hopefully I can give out the recreational habit out since I am becoming dad hopefully.

If you need something to help after using the Vics, try Kratom. *snip* Kratom completely stopped my Oxy WD's. It easy available everywhere and it is legal in almost all countries. Be sure to get some empty capsules to take it with. 4oz should be more than enough to kick a Vic habit. Start with 10 capsules once a day and taper down to 0. Keep some on hand for those days when the craving sneaks back up.

The reason that I named a specific strain of Kratom is that it was the only strain that gave full relief. Every vendor that I know of carries that strain.

I dont ge people I got down to 1mg of suboxone and had no withdrawels at all just a little insomnis but a few xanax took care of that. I have been off and on subs for 2 years and have never had withdrawels other than the time I kiked 12mg a day habit

vics never did it for me as a high, had a dope habit since i was 16, 23 now. never vics. took a couple of the vics over the day, got a break from the pain and some restful sleep, pretty fully recovered now.

thanks for the kratom tips in any event

TheLostBoys is dead on with this statement. This is how a lot of people who are addicted to opiates started out.

I have a question I have been on suboxone since feb I have gotten all the way down to 8 mg a day. I went to an ent dr on Monday because I have pretty much lost my voice feel like a have a large lump in my throat and so on also have been using afrin for be able to breath. After using a camera to look into my throat he has seen some spots that he wants to biopsy because of my history of smoking as long as I have been. Also my turbenates are huge and needs to be reduced. I have been scheduled for sugery for the biopsy and to fix my nose but when I called my sub dr he says I can not take anything but motrin which is a deffinate no no in nasal surgery because of bleeding issues. I am now faced with a huge decision to stop sub so I can take care of the physical problems that I am having or stay on sub. I am very worried about the pain after this surgery and not being able to take anything. I don't know what I should do and what I can do about the withdrawls of the sub if I do go ahead with the surgery and just not go back im really confused as to what I should do at the delima I am in if any one has any feed back I would greatly appreciate it I am new to this site but im so worried as to if I let it go and not have this done if the spots he has seen are something that should be taken care of to keep from any type of cancer being present. I hope this makes sense. thank you for your time and feed back

also I have not heard about the kratum before how do you get it by a dr or health food store

Hey just read your post
Subs are great to get off of opiates but to get off subs is horrible
Depending on the opiate withdrwel may be 3 to 7 days whereas subs or domes a month
I would say get done what you need with the doctor an quit taking the subs. You will go into detox but you can start taking the pain meds that the doc gives you.You will be switching one addiction for another but the meds he gives you vics, perks, loratab wich ever it may be will take the sub withdrawals away. Now you will be switching withdrawals also but like I said, withdwrawel from the loratab etc, will only be 3to7 days verses a month,
Watch your intake though

What if you don't take the Hydros long enough to get addicted to the point of withdrawl? If you take Hydros for like 14 days to get throught the worst of the Sub detox, will you just go back to Sub detox? Please don't tell me about switching one addiction for another. I appreciate all your love but hydro is way easier to kick than Suboxone.

My main question is, will the hydros just prolong the sub withdrawl?

Kratom (kray-tom) is legal in the United States and you can purchase it from a various selection of sources online. A simple google search would help you find one, but make sure to look for what looks like a reputable dealer. Any site promising "legal highs" is probably not a good idea, which is pretty much always true. If you're 8 days into detox already, as someone else said, I would just stick it out. However, I also suffer from chronic pain and understand your need for pain relief. So if you're going to use the hydrocodone, I would try to use it as sparingly as possible and only enough to get through the WDs. Good luck, my friend.
