10mg methadone

I took two 10mg of methadone saturday and today (one each day), I have read that methadone stays in your system for about 5-7 days. would it be the same for me since I do not take this any at all? This was my first time...or would it still be the same time frame?

It won't stay in your system as if you were taking it for a long time but it will stay 2 to 4 days, yes (depends on the person).

what? I don't want to say I don't believe you, but where do you get that info from? Everywhere I have checked says 5-7 days, and believe me dude, I hope you're right!!

Actually Methadone only has a half-life of 24-36 hours according to wiki. I thought it was more. No where near 5-7 days, I've never heard that before in my life and I was on Methadone maintenance for a year or so. If 24-36 hours is the half-life I'd say 48-72 hours is accurate for staying in your system since its twice as long.

yes it's half life is 24to 36 hours BUT there's 5 half lifes so it will stay much longer then 48 hours to get out HALF LIFE means half will be out in 24 to 36 hours then half of what's left in you has another half life and so on... Be prepard dude don't trust anything but that.. Beleave me. Or it would not take a fuckin month to kick it...like I'm doing.

sorry didn't read the original post you only had 20mgs howfar apart is the time you took the done till when you want it out??? Since it's such a small amout man you may be ok but I'd try and drink as much water as you can befor you go I'm talking jugs bro. Try and dellute it as much as possible and you'll prolly be fine...

That's the half-life of a single dose and complete elimination takes several half-lives. When you're taking a medication daily as you are on methadone maintenance, those half-lives accumulate and you have a background level of the drug in your system - that's why it takes longer for it to clear a daily user's system than it does for it to clear the system of someone who's taken a single dose or a couple of doses even if they both took the same dose and took their last dose at the same time.

ok but I've been on it for a year and it was still in me at day 8. So beleave what you want.. I've skipped days of dosing and been fine that's 48 hours and I didn't have any withdrawls.. It's got a lot to do with how fast your body metabalize's it to and it ant no fuckin 72 hours I know that for a fact haha also want to add I was taking 160mgs tho.. There's not gonna be a forsure anser buddy I hate to tell you.. Just try and dalute you piss much as possible and I beleave you'll be fine.. Remember the clearer the beter.. Make it so you pissing out fucking water you drank 10 mins ago and your gold.. Good luck and let us know..

I'd say it stayed in my system for maybe 3-4 days. Probably something like that. Its hard to tell. I was on it daily and never took breaks so it was in my system daily. When getting off I switched onto Suboxone.
