Thank you ms4104. I was not aware of that facet of the drug.
My RLS is just something that came on with age. The amount of exercise I get, the amount of sleep I get, the vitamins and supplements I take, nothing, absolutely nothing plays any bearing on it. Once I sit down or lay down in the evening, if it's going to start, that's when it starts. I end up having to get up and walk around. It isn't calf cramps, which I only had during pregnancy.
About the same time I started into the change, there were miserable nights when I didn't sleep and couldn't stop my legs from twitching. I went crazy for long time, thinking I was the only person with spaz legz. I happened upon a little article in one of my periodicals that explained RLS.
I made an appt with my dr. and took in the article. He diagnosed me and started me on benzos. I went overboard with the benzos and have had to start over from scratch. Withdrawals from the benzos made me want to seriously hurt myself because of the frustration of my legs at night. I don't know if I ever talked about it during the time on BL, but I went though a very fukkt stretch of time.
