Thank me later if you are in withdrawal and your legs will not stop moving & throbbing. I have Degenerative Bone Disease & 4 failed surgeries, nothing left to do besides live with pain. I have been prescribed RoxyCodone 15mg 90 a month since I was 16, now 22. After moving to California with my mother & sister who are the reason I wake up every morning (my mom is the only 1 who knows how to put my dislocations back in). A big reason we moved out here from back in the Tri-State area was so I could use cannabis medicinally & legally without having to put my life at risk. I am a legit Prop 215 medical patient, & even though I never developed a true problem with my medication (Never did my medicine any other way than oral, but I would take them till there gone, then when they were gone there gone but I would never obtain them illegally, another words if I have them I have them, if I don't, ill stick out the couple days of feeling like shit until the next couple weeks my script would be filled.) I have decided to change my life around because even though it is not a serious addiction what so ever, even though I'm fine when there gone, it still sucks counting down the days in my head till the scripts filled. Im strictly sticking with my MMJ (I strongly suggest any of you low-to-heavy opiate addicts try to "switch" your harmful addiction to a harmless plant that has many pain killing properties as well as nausea, anxiety, & pretty much every other medication a Doctor can prescribe which is the reason it is still illegal. Cannabis is the Pharmaceutical Companies/Governments worst nightmare, as a disgusting sum of money goes in the hands of the higher ups legally & illegally, but I guess cannabis is not for some people, but for me, its a miracle). Im going to just save my prescriptions now for when I have dislocations (which is about 10 times a month) which not even smoking an ounce of the most high grade cannabis will get rid of that kind of pain. Anyways, back to the point. My grandma worked in a old peoples home & 1 of the grandpas there had horses his whole life. They use stuff for the horses that have sore muscle & joint pain relief (keep in mind, this is not a well known thing in the medical community as its purchased at a Pet store & intended for horses). My grandma told him about my bone disease & gave her a bottle to bring me home at 16. This is literally the only thing that gets rid of my pain besides pain medication & MMJ. It's like a menthol cigarette on your body (I meen seriously, NUMB, like if you use enough the whole area you rubbed it on will feel like some kind of anesthetic was shot in your leg or arm before surgery which I have had before & this is even more potent than that!) This also lets me live a semi-normal-non-addictive life with the cannabis for managing pain. Today I am on day 1 of pretty minor withdrawal, nothing too bad, legs throbbing, stomach is really off, insomnia, but nothing I can not suck up and handle like I have my whole life for a couple days, only this time, this WILL be the last time as some spiritual & I hate my mom to see my legs hurting & feel like shit for 5 days & I already did not have a 'serious' problem what so ever to begin with but its time for a change. Today I said wait a second, if I rub this on my shoulders and it makes them completely numb, what will it do for the DREADED RLS. I drenched both my legs in it, thigh to feet, I have found a cure my friends. I don't meen a 75% better cure, I meen a 101% better cure. Apply every 3-6 hours, bam. Cure for at least 1 part of withdrawal, which IMO is the fucking worst. Here is the picture so you know what it looks like. Just go your local pet stores right the fuck now if you are in W/D & get home and then type on this your results. You guys will be amazed. Your all in my prayers. Stay up my friends. http://www.ecrater.com/p/7185227/absorbine-liniment-topical-analgesic-gel-12

Being that RLS is the worst part of opioid WD's for me BY FAR, I will definitely try this. Thanks.

Before, only hot bath would help alleviate it.

PS- You really need to indent paragraphs, I could hardly read that block. Fix it asap please. People are often unwillingly to read something that is so hard to read.

theres a poweder made by Arm and Hammer that does this, forget what its called. pretty sure theres some in the cupboatrd upstairs, ill check and post the name that way you dont need to use the Horse Medication type lol

Restless legs is a neurological symptom that is generated in the brain... Simple topical anesthesia isn't gonna cure it. In fact even people who have had their legs amputated can have 'phantom RLS', see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19372293 .

The active ingredients in this horse product are menthol and the antiseptic chloroxylenol. The only theoretical way how this stuff could help with RLS would be some central opioid effect by the absorbed menthol (menthol has been shown to bind to kappa receptors).

OP sounds like he's getting paid for advertising this product lol

Damn, that's too bad. I have a fair amount of trouble with RLS, and the title looked very encouraging.

May give it a try anyway.

Of course it won't cure RLS but just as bengay doesn't treat pain directly, it more or less takes your mind away from the pain. If a hot bath alleviates my RLS, I'm sure a menthol product would have a similar effect. Actually, simple bengay may work jsut fine for this purpose without needing a weird horse ointment.

not entirely, but it may be one place symptoms may stem from.

otherwise chronic use of a peripheral stimulating opioid would not have any RLS symptoms during a withdrawal period and this simply is not the case.

i have found when your cold rls seems to be worse IE: hot bath HELPS

i would use immodium before anything else IME

While RLS is a neurological symptom (I've had it for years), thigh massages and hot baths, which are both basically topical remedies, work wonders. Why wouldn't this? And seriously, who would put product placement for something 99.9% of people buy for horses here?

uh no ...its somthing that is easy as a soda to get ...why would u need to wd from it ,fucking taper

look lope is somthing u would use in desperate moments i think HORRID rls ,or what i get wich is myarms AND legs get restless and well i get pretty desperate, well got ,should i say

i wouldchoose to take a 10 min trip to dollar store over anything to get lope

I agree with this. Lope takes like three hours or so to start working with most people, but once it does, it does a pretty good job of taking away the hurt.

For the amount of money lope costs you might as well buy heroin lol. I was at cvs and saw the price the otther day for a small ass box and I was like fuck that.

And I dunno I just find it hard to believe drenching your legs in some bullshit horse lotion would do jack shit. You get RLS as a result of chemical imbalance in your brain. I personally think it's placebo you are experiencing..

But hey if it works that's great.. if anyone invests in this horse lotion let us know what happens.

you need to get the generic anti-diarrhea brands. you get like twice as much for half the price. when i was forced to cold turkey out of my home state, i would spend like 1.50 on a 2pack but i didnt give a fuck cuz it made my life so much easier.

Maybe worth someone else trying just to see if it does work. If it can numb the area maybe you still have the RLS but just can't feel it. Even a short time without the RLS would be enough to fall asleep and at least get in some relief.

Perhaps since its for a horse its stronger than a similar product for humans? Maybe its cheaper? How much does this stuff cost anyway? :)

I dunno, I won't be trying it personally. I don't have much problem with RLS its my mind that keeps me awake and other things (headaches mostly). I'd trade those headaches for RLS any day...even though I know how bad RLS can get. :(

Also, yea, break that first post down a bit. I almost pressed the back button when I saw that block of text.
