Opioids 100 year-old opium?

All right. I thought "Fuck it. I have undoubtedly put more dangerous things into my system." I added some hot water to the Dr. Munn's Opium Elixer, shook it for some time, and drank. It was very bitter (a good sign). This was 40 minutes ago and I am moderately high. A pleasant surprise, as I was not expecting anything to happen.

Very similar to 5 large poppy pods or maybe 60mg of Morphine, imo

There was no way in hell that I would inject old opium. It was not a preparation, even 100 years ago, that was intended for IV administration.

Finding things like this make me giddy. Some time ago, I was working for a 105 year-old woman who had lived in the same house her entire life. When she retired for the evening one night, I found her medicine cabinet in her bathroom. It was a small closet with five shelves on each wall. I spent hours looking through old amber glass bottles and boxes of powders that dated as far back as the 1920s. I did not find many interesting controlled substances (No, no elusive quaaludes), but reading all those old glass bottles was exhilarating.

Only good drugs I ever found in my house was an old bottle of expired Codeine cough syrup (from 1999) which was a pretty good find... but it contained a large amount of Pseudoephedrine... Something that I didn't take into account when I chugged the whole bottle. So, while I was fine because there was (around) 150 milligrams of Codeine in the bottle, I also ingested something like... 400 milligrams of Pseudoephedrine? Yeah, my heart rate was through the roof. Otherwise, it was a good time. I just wish I had known to take it during the day, rather than right before I was about to go to bed...

The best drug find I found in my house was an almost full bottle of Vicodin. They were the 5/500's and it's interesting because that was the first drug I ever took for recreational purposes. It's hard to believe that was almost 5 years ago. I found that Vicodin, my curiosity had been peaked, so I decided to take one. Didn't feel a thing, so I took two and... thus began my 'drug career' lol. There were around 30 pills in the bottle, so I had a fun couple of weeks.
