Opioids 100 mg codeine no effect

i just took 100 mg of codeine from a syrup that has 10 mg codeine in every 5 ml of syrup. The first dose i took was 30 ml syrup an hour ago. I wasnt feeling anything so now i took another 20 ml syrup which puts me at 100 mg codeine. I am not feeling any effects yet and its been an hour 30 minutes. If it helps ive tried dxm from otc cough syrup 4 times and didnt feel anything either. Am i invincible or what? should i take more

the thing with codeine is you need to take one big dose, its not one for topping up or redosing.

100mg is a small dose to start with if you want to get high, id start with around 180mg (i did my first time) all at once, sit back and watch a film, its only mild so dont expect to be overwhelmed.

be careful, addiction is strong with codeine i now need at leasst 600mg to feel it.

i reccomend waiting around a week to dose again to get full effects as tolerance builds like crazy, i suppose a day or 2 for you since your new

re-dosing on codeine doesn't work. figure out what you need to get high, and then take it all in one go.

I applaud you for being cautious and starting low but even 100mg of codeine at once is a pretty low rec. dose. You aren't invincible and codeine is the weakest and least pleasurable opiate, that's not to say you won't still have a good time.

I wouldn't call it the least pleasurable opioid at all. I used to get great effects from codeine very similar to morphine (not counting the initial rush of i.v.'ed morphine) albeit weaker of course. It's harder to nod out on it but it's still possible with low tolerance and efficient metabolism to morphine. I recently ran out of Suboxone early, I took 150mg of codeine around 20 hours after dosing 4mg of Suboxone and I was surprised how strong it was and how long it lasted me. Re-dosing a few hours after the first dose gives a much weaker effect mainly because codeine itself inhibits the enzyme that metabolises it to morphine.

^ You must be a great metabolizer... 10mg is very little codeine. Ive heard its around 10% of the codeine that becomes morphine... Só there you go.

I used to love codeine in the form of promethazine and codeine syrup. In fact I would say 4 to 6 ounces and perhaps above and beyond that at times, it could rival oxycodone, hydrocodone or any other opiate...but I'm about done with it these days.

It did fine for me for years, but, now, no legs, minimum euphoria.

Being a syrup head, I'm just strictly sticking to Tussionex for now on....

SWIMs first opiate experience was with 10mg codeine, and he was in heaven for about 4 hours. Codeine is a strange drug.

and i thought i was weird, when i get nicely high (plus still nauseous the next day) off 20-30mg dihydrocodeine.

^ Lucky bastards! My mom is similar, one Tsp of codeine and promethazine had her loaded, passed out on the couch all day... but then again she's little and drug naive.

I'm sure you already know this, but be careful of the acetominphen in tussionex.

Tussionex doesn't contain APAP, It's a hydrocodone/chlorpheniramine mixture. You definitely wanna watch out with how much CPH you consume though.

Tuss has no apap, not much better, but a toxic antihistamine instead.
