its really quiet here
everyones asleep or out.
theres no tv on or music playing.
theres no bass moving through the floor boards,
even though the rooms the other way.
nothing but silence...
so i sit and stare
as the recently vacummed carpet starts to dance.
i realise its fucking cold in here
so i turn the light off
i sigh...
i envy the dying rose.
i say a prayer for love,
sleep and warmth.
that the night creeps on by
without me noticing it in a glance.
that you are well and safe,
that everyone stays warm.
to highly priced
or not enough room.
to far out or to close in.
to picky for my own good.
re-establishing my goals.
so i sit here and stare
hugging my teddy from the cardboard box.
his stupid grin
and big white arms...
if only he made me feel the warmth.
