1 shot with valium

So ive heard alot about Valium interactions with alcohol and i know when combined the effects are alot stronger so i wanna try this out. If i take 15mg Valium, which is enough to get me high, will 1 shot of 40% vodka make it any stronger, how bout 2 or 3?
 
Two shots def will. 1... ehhh. You are also young if I recall, so would think you alcohol tolerance is very low.

Each shot is roughly equal to 1 beer if that helps you gauge.

Also, only taking 2 shots is very unlikely while on valium, unless you only have that amount with you. Benzo+Alcohol makes you think that everything is all good, and that you are fine.... So you continue to drink, and soon lose control without knowing it. At the least, you will def not remember falling asleep.
 
i would take the 15mg valium and as you feel it kicking in, i would take ONE shot. and then no more. then enjoy the buzz you have, but just warning.. when you start drinking on benzos you dont wanna stop.

I gotta second this... take LESS diazepam than you normally would to get high and then stop at 1 or 1 1/2 shots of liquor. Drink lots of water, bc as Captain Heroin mentions,benzos + alcohol often gives me a wicked hangover. almost always! and given valium's hardcore halflife, it's a given that you'll still be affected by it the next day...

I find if I take a shot some time after taking valium, I do get really drunk, like I just took two shots in a row or something. But as soon as the alcohol feeling sets in, the more unique, light benzo feeling kind of disappears or is drowned out by ordinary drunken sludgyness. If that makes sense.
 
I think benzos make the alcohol effect stronger more so than the alcohol making the benzo effects stronger. Ive done 2mg's xanax a few times while drinking and really just felt like I was more drunk than I should have been. I prefer doing benzos by themselves unless maybe valium as in this case. If its you first time I would advise taking 10mg's, maybe less, and then just start bdrinking like normal to see how you feel, valium will last for a while.
 
^solid advice and I agree that it seems benzos potentiate the effect of alcohol more so than alcohol potentiating the effects of the benzo... even if that may be a subtle distinction.

TNSB + Nikolai seem pretty spot on.

I also agree with C.H and vaya that if you want to drink, I would take less diazepam. If you want to take diazepam, I would just take the dose of that alone but preferences vary.

Do be conscious of the previous posters who note that its easy to get out of hand when you combine benzos and alcohol because they cause a synergistic amnestic effect so they make blacking out easier than with ether alone... and at that level you risk doing something you wouldn't otherwise do.
 
alright, but do you guys think the 2 shots will increase the valiums effects of releifing my anxiety, or will this combo make it worse. Sorry about this question i know iv asked it before but i didnt really get what i was looking for. like if i take 15mg valium will drinking alcohol releive my anxiety the more i drink. (i know my limits iam not planning on passing out lol)
 
just do the 15mg and take a shot, 2 at the most the first time, see how it affects you, should be fine!
 
The thing with the alcohol + benzo combo is that you can say beforehand than you know your limits but do you really know your limits after 2 shots and 15mg of valium?

A LOT of people after 2 shots and 15mg of valium say either, "this feels great, I want more" or "I don't feel this enough" and either way, keep taking more shots and/or valium.

The valium + alcohol will synergize meaning it will be more than 1 + 1 = 2 in regards to intoxication, anxiolysis (anxiety relief), blacking out, muscle relaxation, sedation, etc.

So yes, it will increase the anxiety relief as well as several other positive and negative effects... the most worrisome being the amnesia/blacking out.
 
The thing is, as the amnesia sets in, you might forget that it's your 3rd shot and take that first shot, you dig?
and on and on and on
until either an unforgettable time, my apologies, a forgettable time, or some other dire consequences. Imagine getting laid and not remembering it!!

Personally, I take really low doses of benzos (prescribed), and when I used to go out and party and club, etc, I could not go without .5-1 mg. of xanax, or something of the sort 1 or more hours before going out of course, and keep my drinking at bay.

I am Russian, but I got all the heavy drinking out of my system first or second college year. well, when I turned 21, couldn't help it, just drank cognacs all the time. Straight. But nowadays, you ask me when my last beer was, and I'll tell you last week - one beer. But I had my birthday about two weeks ago, and not so much as a drop of nonalcoholic (or otherwise alcoholic) beer got drunk by yours truly.

Back to topic - low quantities benzos, and 2-3 beers is okay, in my opinion, but some folks just can't stick to low quantities, of benzos and the white man's poison alike.

I agree. Hard liqour is much more difficult to play with.

Besides who wants to only do 2-3 shots anyway.. the extremely small effect from that amount will be gone in an hour.

Much more enjoying making a evening out of it, get 6-12 beers and do 10-20mg Diazepam and relax in front of the TV.
 
Be careful OP, once you start it's tempting to keep doing more and then you could black out and do all sorts of stupid shit. I've got a big K carved into my arm and way too many hours of my life missing because of benzodiazepines, boozing and adding other substances even.

Yes. Once a girl at a Vegas nightclub gave me her number and everything. I had forgotten I had ever even met the girl! My friend had to remind me of this the next day. So sad...

This was off of just 1mg of xanax and lots of vodka.

I agree totally... I usually won't drink till the very end of my night so I can experience the benzo for most of the night, then have a drink or two and get fairly drunk/ generally intoxicated.

A certain amount is safe over the Valium, but not too much. 2 shots max, and get someone to put the bottle away, while you still have sense to.

Tel someone else to serve you the liquor or don't drink at all. It's the best way.
 
Buy airline bottles and make sure it's the only alcohol you have and have somebody with you. I do not reccomend drinkin on benzos but if you must keep it at a minimum and have a friend with you who knows what's up.
