1-ethynylcyclohexanol (cns depressant)

I mixed 1.5 g of this in 7up to counteact a severe hangover and while my hangover may have reduced. I found it otherwise inactive.

A word of caution:

I have a very (very) low alcohol tolerance. I drink about once a month and one beer will have a significant effect one me, I rarely use gabaergics of any kind. I sampled 1-ethynylcyclohexanol and found it to be inebriating at 500ml––comparable to two alcoholic drinks consumed in quick succession. It is much stronger than an equivalent volume of 2M2B and subjectively more pleasant. The taste is disgusting, yet only about 50% as horrifying as 2M2B. There is no nausea or camphoraceous belching. The material has a very strange appearance: long white crystals, that sort of looks like a shock of wet white hair stuffed into a vial, that or asbestos fibers. I would definitely not recommend more than 500ml for a first time user.

500mg I hope, not 500ml.

That would be half a liter, assuming one melted the stuff first!

Christ....half a liter of EtOH or EtOEt alone would fuck one up ten feet deep=D

How do you dose or use it? I received this today, but it seems that is totally frozen. Its not cold or anything and it has been in room temperature for many hours. It looks like ice cube. Very strange. So any tips?

Also how this will combinate with kratom? I hope this one has nice synergy with it , as at least one or two beers boost kratom nicely .

update.
OK I melted it with lighter, just kept lighter under the glass vial. After that it haven't recrystallized. Very interesting material. The smell reminds me some kind of menthol and taste is more like GBL. It isn't even nearly bad tasting as GHB, maybe in the same line with GBL. Mixing it with fruit don't seem to help much. Also noticed that when it hits you're tongue it makes it little numb.

About the effects; I took UEI kratom beforehand so I took only about 0,25ml, it hit pretty fast and it has nice synergy with sedation and euphoria of kratom. Took ~0,3ml more in half hour, now It seem that it overpowered kratom effects. Thought after all last kratom boost was taken 3 hours back, so it wasn't working in full force anyway. Went to sleep after 2h taking the dose, slept ok, no hangover at the morning.

Today after meal about 15 min before took 1,1 ml and I already feel it little bit. It kind of reminds me GBL. It definitely has effects more like of benzos or GHB than alcohol.

But the best thing is that no nausea or confusion. So far I like this stuff. Haven't tried 2M2B so cant say how thats like compared to this.

update2.

+0,30 My legs feel very soft like spaghettis. :) Muscle relaxation.

I melt it by putting the vial into hot water and allowing to melt, I have just done 2g of my original order out of boredom. I would compare the effects to having three swift pints in a dark pub and then walking out into a bright sunlight day, at first one is slighty disorientated then one soon regains ones equilibrium.

Cat taste which I am eating peanuts to counteract. Perhaps it is my alcohol tolerance or the quality of my batch but I find it underwhelming so gonna fuck off to bed when Game of Thrones is over.

Why melt it and add to a drink?

Should it not be soluable in water to a decent degree...or does the taste preclude that? alcohols are polar compounds, so it should dissolve, I would have thought.

Or...simply stuff it, after weighing, in an empty capsule or three.

minty aftertaste? as in, menthol is a metabolite? reminds me of how acetone is a major metabolite of isopropanol and how you'll reek of acetone for a while after drinking isopropanol

Is IPA any good for a beverage? aside from the scent of acetone (which I find quite pleasant, although would not care for as an internal perfume=D)

Probably wouldn't bother me hugely, seeing as how I quite enjoy diethyl/diisopropyl ether, although I haven't drunk any of either in a year or two.

The fact that it oxidises into acetone in the liver would put me off. Probably fairly toxic

Acetone is a natural metabolism product anyway. Imagine how toxic its more reactive cousin acetaldehyde is! ... oh wait. People still drink ethanol.

and exactly how much ethanol ends up as acetaldehyde as opposed to acetate? not much unless you are asian. whereas a high proportion of IPA ends up as acetone and acetone does some nasty things to some amino acids.
