1 Clove Cigarette - Inexperienced - Surprised me

I am an avid smoker of cigarettes and marijuana, I have also used many other substances. Today I decided to go pick up a pack of Djarum Black Menthol Cigars. When I got home I opened the pack and instantly smelled a strong scent of cloves. I lit one up and the smoke was harsh but bearable. Finished it in about 10 minutes and after about 2 minutes of finishing it I started feeling a slight high similar to smoking a small amount of marijuana. The high continued to increase, it has been about 30 minutes since I finished it and I still feel euphoric and have a slight head high. I wasn't even expecting to get high off of them, I just got them because I wanted to try them. Very nice surprise. Going out to smoke another one now, I will post results from smoking a 2nd one while still high from the first one.

Its just a buzz/head rush.... I get them off of newport 100s sometimes. Especially if I'm french inhaling them. I wouldn't say you could get high off of them.

If you get high off tobacco, whatever. If you don't, then you've let yourself get placebo'd.

It's not a high from the tobacco, the high is caused by the eugenol in the cloves, which is a euphoriant and a sedative.
Edit: Its also not a placebo because a placebo is caused by expecting something that something will get you high when it wont.

Don't smoke too many of them or too fast though because they will make you sick. Just like when you inhale a cigar too much. I had a bad experience one night with them.

Thanks for the heads up. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to finish one and then I don't smoke another one until the effects from the first one wear off which takes about an hour. Very relaxing.

They don't keep me buzzed for 2 hours, but they're certainly a good sub for nicotine when you don't have it or feel like it.
