This compound is an amphetamine analogue where the alpha-methyl is replaced by a cyclopropyl group. According to certain literature and patents it is about 1/2 to 1/3 as potent as dextroamphetamine.

Sounded promising enough to make some. However, the stimulant effects were only mild. Instead it turned out to be a real KILLER!

I collapsed at the bus station under about 300mg of it with a syncope and was rushed to the hospital with severe heart arrhytmia. They were even talking about implanting a heart pacemaker! Believe me, I got out of this hospital as quickly as I could, against medical advice. I collapsed once more this day, at the ATM while withdrawing the money to pay the taxi driver, but else everything is just fine with my heart. Such are the risks when experimenting with novel compounds!

I thought it's worth to make a bluelight post about it to warn others who contemplate this or similar compounds.

However, it might make an excellent suicide drug. When I collapsed there was no pain, no discomfort. I just passed out. With a properly high dose I would have probably just never woke up again, with cause of death heart arrhytmia leading to fatal heart arrest. It's safe and painless, the best suicide drug I'm aware of so far.

300mg seems like a whopper though, even @ 1/3 the potency of dextro

Aren't these compounds notoriously MAOIs? Good to hear you're safe, anyway..
 
It's a non-competetive inhibitor of MAO-A and a competetive inhibitor of MAO-B. In my book that makes it potentially lethal as a compound and not really suitable for any sort of human consumption except under very close medical supervision

I just hope someone doesn't accidently stumple upon an orally active MPTP type compound - that would be truelly tragic.

There are very good reasons to own a couple of rats and 30 gauge syringes if you're in this business! But even that sometimes won't save you, I recall a protein that was used in medical trials being safe for smaller order mammals, but then once they gave it to humans it caused a gross immune system malfunction and killed a bunch of the test subjects...

1/2 to 1/3 the potency of dextro-amphetamine, that would be comparable to 100-150 mg d-amphetamine, that is a lot! 10 mg is already quite a dose.

MPTP doesn't cause Parkinson's disease in rodents, so that wouldn't be much help there either. Once you're on the cutting edge of 'designer drug' design, you really have to consider such possibilities and investigate as many closely related compounds as possible before proceeding to feed it to humans; even then it's still Russian roulette...
 
Wow, what are you guys looking for that you are willing to consume a drug like this that has little or no trials in humans?

It doesn't seem worth it to me to sacrifice yourself to advance (a teeny weeny) a step in cutting edge 'designer drugs.'
