Stimulants ðŸš¨I’m concerned about a friend struggling with recovery with coke for some and she’s had a cough ever since (been almost a year now)

As stated above I have no idea what to do and she literally coughs every 10 seconds. She’s been to the doctors and they have no diagnosis for it. All I know is she’s noticed a cough since she started doing a lot of coke. According to her she’s had a cough for almost a year. She’s not sick, she’s diagnosed with endometriosis. I’m not sure if there’s relation to that but all the doctor says is they think it’s allergies/dust. According to her her cough got worse. And they have her on allergy meds that don’t seem to work. I’m not sure how to help but she did mention after picking up a month ago it got worse. And it’s been an on and off coke relapse but yeah if anyone has some insight on this it would mean the world for me. Idk if I can handle loosing another friend in my life thanks in advanced

It's good that your friend is getting checked out by a doctor to rule out all possibilities and get treatment advice.. I know it's easy to worry that it's caused by the coke, but allergies really can make coughs stick around for a long time. I've had those, I thought it was TB or something, lasted months but I got it under control with flunisolide spray ( over the counter) and regular use of a neti pot, plus dust mite covers on my pillow and bed. It can take awhile.
Obviously, the other question is whether she smokes. And staying away from the coke sure would help to keep her healthy in general.
Good luck

How was she using coke? Snorting, smoking, or something else?

Wow thank you both for responding so quickly. It means so much to me. So i know that she had a relapse 2-3 weeks ago and she got it off a street dealer. I’m know damn well that it’s most likely some fucked up cut shit. and after using it led to her going to urgent care due to her cough getting bad. I’ve always been diligent with substance I used from reputable ppl dnm vendors and sending samples to energy control. I’m concerned that perhaps something the yay is cut with could be harming her. the doctor did X-rays on her lungs yesterday and it seems to look fine. She never really had allergies like this before her yay use. and if it’s really dust as her doctor stated, I know her fam has not changed their air filter thru their ventilation system. apparently it hasn’t been changed for a LONG time. would purchasing a portable air filter specifically for her room and having her tape up the vent on her sealing (since her folks can’t access the air filter in the attic due to old age and it would be risky for her to do it since the attic is full of dust. I’d have done it for her by now but I’m in a different state. As for her ROA, nasal. it’s unusual since she it’s been going on for a year! and she’s diagnosed with endometriosis and I read that in rare occasions it can cause issues in her diaphragm which can possibly be a reason. She also had bronchitis after she started coke use last year. She no longer has it but I’m concerned that if she doesn’t do anything about this and let it ride out, it may lead to something serious like coughing up blood…

FYI my ROA was always neeedles prior to smoking (oxy to h) I’ve stopped since thanks to methadone and currently on 15mg so Im trying to help her with recovery and try to address this cough. I’ve purchased a bunch of suppleness for her, doc has her on allergy meds which doesn’t do shit.

With all the cuts in coke, it's pretty easy to imagine something screwing up her nose. Maybe someone else can give you advice on that.I'm going to guess she hasn't told the doctor about the coke. Understandable, but too bad because it's an important piece of the puzzle for them.
If this is a filter on a furnace/AC it really ought to get changed, even if you have pay a handyman to do it. It could have mold on it, whatever. Get one of those filters made to remove allergens. Even if you seal her room with tape, it'll still affect her.
A portable HEPA air cleaner is a great idea, just order it from Amazon if you are out of state. Google search for dust mite control and use their suggestions. Use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter if possible. A neti pot really helps me. Maybe asthma meds. Maybe she's allergic to pets. And smoke is very bad
Good luck

Endometriosis wouldn't cause a cough.
Is she on any meds?
I've had a cough for 7 fucking years, and it's because like half a dozen of the meds I'm on cause "dry mouth" which also causes "dry throat" so it feels like a permanent tickly cough.

Thanks for reminding me to change the filter in my A/C. I hope your friend can quit coke. Does she get any other allergy symptoms?

Coke is much more dangerous now, than it was.( fentanyl) I hope she can get off the coke, before it really destroys her life or worse.
