I've got a solution, but it's rather nasty. Basically an induction/reductio ad absurdum combination. With MANY cases.

I'm gonna try to find something simpler/cleverer.

yeah, we're not that far along yet. plus, my brain power isn't allowing me to even try to figure that one out as i do know more german than what i'm learning in class.

Anyway, why are you learning German? Language quals for PHD? If so, I've always heard they are pretty easy to pass.

i'm still working on my bachelor's, but yes. i switched from a BS to BA.

Yes. I'm taking the intensive course. Regular pace is 3 semesters. I have taken 2 of those, but one I would have to retake. So I'm just taking the intensive.
