My tips for iv

Apply heat 5 minutes on the vein
Know your superficial and deep veins
Understand the direction of the vein
Hydrate a lot before along electrolytes
Do a set of bicep curl
Keep the arm lower then your heart and shake it before applying the tourniquet
Apply a gently tighten tourniquet
Use the biggest veins : cephalic, median and basilic vein
Use short tips
Tap gently on the vein before applying the alcool swab

For me, i use a angle syringe entry of about 60 degree and when i reach the vein and i register it, i keep my attention on the deepness of the tip that caused the register and while shooting keep my attention to make sure the tip doesnt move at all

Also, for veins that moves around, no big deal, i move back the tip, look if the veins went left or right, then attack her from the side

Knowing how deep or superficial each veins are is critical

Finally, i inject 3/4 of the dosage in about 10 seconds, then wait 20 seconds to see if its enough, register again and finish the shot

My success rate is about 9/10
