Ah dammit, how did I miss this? Belated birthday best wishes RL, glad you had a good one. You're one of the good guys out there, that much is obvious. The world needs more deep thinkers like you. Can never have too many deep thinkers. Now if the deep thinkers among us could just stop tying themselves up in bloody knots with it things would really be golden! ;) My best to you dude. :)
 
Hows your lifts coming bud? I can curl 75% body weight now, bench 230ish, but sadly cant squat with my lifting situation (dont feel comfortable without a spotter).

@serotonin: I pretty much train in the hypertrophy rep range, so I only kinda have a feel for my current maxes, if you know what I mean. I will say that one good thing that comes out of being a short guy is that I can deadlift a lot of weight comparatively (and overall us short guys have great pound-for-pound strength). I lifted for a while without a spotter, but now I have a good one and it really is nice (now if he would just be a bit more considerate about dropping everything and coming to the gym when I decide it's chest day ;)). But for squats, man just get in the rack, put the safeties up and train in a higher rep range (at least where you can get a feel for whether you can realistically do one more rep or not). Squats are so much better than any other leg exercise for adding mass. The diet is what really tests me. I am so sick of eating all day, everyday. But if I slow down and eat comfortably, I will lose weight.
 
I feel ya man. Ill have my license back in the next few days so geting to a rack will be easier. And youre right about being short. Im ~5' 7" and pretty stout. I put on a few more pounds in the past week so im around 10.5% bf now. Not too bad. Had 6 eggs, turkey bacon, and a couple glasses of milk for dinner and rounded out my macros with that meal. A little lacking (by like 5-10g) on carbs but no biggie
