I hope that your birthday is wonderful and sweet. More than that, I hope that it is the first day of a new year that finds you freer in every sense. I hope that you can travel as I know how important that is for you. I also hope that you encounter people who accept and value you for who you are.

Count me among those people. I have learned so much from you here on Bluelight and in our conversations outside of here. I appreciate above all the depth of your thinking, the complexity with which you approach subjects and your honesty.

Much love on your special day.<3

Strut your stuff with no apologies!<3=D

I hope you have the happiest of birthdays, RL. Thanks for being you and sharing yourself with us. <3 :) <3

Happy Birthday man. I might only post sporadically on here but every time I've seen you post it's always been reasonable and insightful.

Have a great day.

RL!!!

Happy birthday, my man!!

Lord knows you need a great day for you, buddy...

RedLeader is the total shit. May the coming year bring ease and serenity, and may the day be exactly as you would have it.

:)

I had my first sober birthday in years this year. It was fantastic. Mine was in rehab so yours should be better :) first sober one for you and hopefully many more will come.

Thank you, Serotonin!

Technically speaking, my birthday was 24 sober hours (unless you count the pre-workout stuff as drugs ;)). Absolutely killed my legs tonight, so one day down on my fitness goals for this next year on the planet. Feeling motivated to try and stay sober for at least 6 months, at least until I am legally free and not having to go through that awful stress that is trying to work around the court. Even if I hate being powerless to a broken system, I'm going to throw in the towel and do it sober for now, as I am just done with any additional stress. Call it the lesser of two evils, sure, but I'm going to try and take life day-by-day right now, cycle-repeat 180 times hopefully. Right now I'm doing it for my fitness goals, and for my travel fund. And hopefully after another extended sober/clean streak, I'll feel again like I'm doing it for my essential self.

Last year I was drinking malt-liquor to try and mitigate a cocaine crash, pushing my ex-girlfriend off of my body because the heroin had killed my sex drive. I think I'm doing slightly better right now! :)

Sounds like a plan my man. Working out really helps though doesnt it :P i see you popping in SD time to time. :)

Haha, you're going to make me throw out the obligatory "No, RL isn't on steroids" comment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, working out is the single best thing out there for my recovery. I think that legal systems should instead sentence people to workout, learn how to cook and take vitamins, and similar instead of a lot of the bullshit that they do. But ya, honestly the hours that surround my workout are the best ones of my day. Great source of confidence and feel-good-ness, and I've met some good people at the gym. The first thing I think about these days when I want to go on a little bender is ya, but that's going to screw up my lifting progress...I can't, so that's good, right?
