“Through These Eyes”
It’s hard to see the sun sometimes through these eyes.
And yet I try…
This nightlife world of mine.
Maybe I’ll put aside
this bottle where I hide.
Leap of faith.
I could close my eyes and jump.
In hope of a better place and I won’t hurt as much.
I fall to my knees scream at the world and cry.
I get up only to get knocked back down.
With broken dreams, deceit and lies.
And still I try…
Do you remember the time when you said you could see the pain in my eyes?

Let it all subside.
Things seem so different when I look into your eyes.
It all seems so simple when I’m looking in from the outside.
Everything seems fine.
