‘Gravol’ - Can I take it for anxiety at all?

Is there an off-label use of ‘Gravol’ for anxiety at all? Websites are saying that it could also cause depression. What do you think? Do I feel less anxious due to the placebo effect?

Hydroxyzine is/was sometimes used for anxiety, it's an antihistamine too, but like @BenzoBrain^^ said, they just sedate you and the sedation can make you less anxious but it's not a direct anxiolytic effect like from e.g. benzodiazepines.

This Gravol is dimenhydrinate, right? And that's diphenhydramine + caffeine. No, sounds like a last resort choice.

For the largest segment of the population, antihistamines have no value as a recreational substance. It has great utility for both its stated indications as well as for off-label use as a minor sleep-aid. Most who abuse them ultimately regret the decision to have to done so.
