I have talked to people and it seems (from the small sample I asked) that α-PVP is subjectively different to pentedrone but both (whichever one the person preferred) had a 'warm' on the soul. Chemically, the only difference is that one has a secondary amine (N-methyl like in 4MMC) while the other has a tertiary amine (pyrrolidine ring like MDPV (methylenedioxy ring). They both stem from unsubstituted benzene rings. Not the p-Me of pyrovalerone or the MD of MDPV.

People decribe both of them as having some entactogenic aspect which is kind of unexpected.

Do people know IF α-PVP or pentedrone has entactogenic effects?

The cLogP:

α-PVP - 2.18
pentedrone 2.87

So, correct me if I'm wrong but the latter will accumulate in the brain more but binding (thus stimulating) effect is mediated by the O: <-> N: (O: & N: lone-pairs) while the former can also bind directly through N: (as seen in prolintane)?

The reason I ask is that a friend offered me some and I wasn't sure which, if either, I should try. I've had prolintane and I liked it - SMOOTH and long ago, I tried MDPV (too much for me).

I'm interested because who would have predicted the effect of adding a p-Me to methcathinone converting a rough & ready stim wish something quite different in activity (in my view).

If my technical data is wrong - please forgive, I am trying not to ask stupid questions so I did spend some time liiking at this.

Many thanks to you all-

Ah - so any comparison with pentylone? I'm wondering if an N-methyl allows for serotonin release or reuptake inhibition and a comparison in potency.

NoArtFlav - thank you for your input; I owe you one!
