Stimulants Recreational value of dexamphetamine?

I was wondering if you feel that dexamphetamine has any recreational value, and what a good dose would be for someone with a moderate tolerance?

Yes it does have recreational value. Dosage rec's are tough especially when tolerance is involved. start with 20mgs (if you got a healthy heart and all) and maybe add 10 every 45 minutes as neccessary.

I know not dosing all at once isnt your ideal experience most likely....but until you are familiar with the drug and how your body responds.

Dexamphetamine is a step above adderrall as adderrall is a mix of the D (Dex I believe) and L amphetamine isomers and the L aint shit compared to the D (recreationally, that is reductionist I am sure)

For myself, I don't really like it much. It easily becomes too jittery without any euphoria. Taking more has always made it worse for me ( bad memories of that!) All the same, if I have some boring physical chore to get done, it's a decent way to steamroll through. But to feel good, I prefer ritalin

Isn’t this a relatively low dose? I read on TripSit that 80–125+ mg of Adderall is considered a high dose. If you were to convert that mathematically to the active ingredient, dextroamphetamine, would that be equivalent to around 60–93.75 mg of dexamphetamine, if I’m understanding it correctly?


I want to make sure I get the dosage right so I don’t end up having a bad experience. I also have plenty of experience with it.

Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 50-70mg IR + Methadone 100mg has been my morning Speedball for 20+ years (plus benzodiazepine, Gabapentinoid, Ethanol, Nicotine) …..Ritalin gave me VERY robust euphoric bliss when I started taking it…..same euphoric bliss as Opoioids (especially Oxycodone)

Oxycodone or Diamorphine/Dilaudid mixed with Dexedrine/Adderall/Ritalin/Desoxyn is the most euphoric combination pharmacology has even seen……endorphines & monoamines DAT/NET/SERT = Euphoric bliss

People have always loved their Amphetamines…..Ritalin is my personal favourite

Benzphetamine (Didrex) is still prescribed for obesity & narcolepsy……it’s essentially Desoxyn (Methylphenidate) but with a lower scheduling SCIII ……Didrex in-vivo metabolizes into d-Methamphetamine and further into d-Amphetamine. Some doctors might hear Didrex and not feel same stigmatized status as Desoxyn (d-Meth)

Adderall 30mg XR is great
Dexedrine Spansule 15mg are great whole or pulverized into IR powder (like Adderall XR beads)
Ritalin & Focalin are excellent dopaminergic stimulants capable of inducing strong euphoria
Desoxyn while available, is rarely prescribed as its Desoxyephedrine HCL (d-Methamphetamine) and most prescribers would opt for Dexedrine, Vyvanse, Adderall, Ritalin etc

I LOVE the onset & C-Max of my Methylphenidate IR 50-70mg in combination with my Methadone as it’s Ohhh Sooo Pleasurable and just pure sex inside my CNS

I have ADHD and get prescribed 2 x 10mg doses of dexamphetamine daily.

I have never found it recreational but simply a tool to make me get out of bed and concentrate on my job.

but my friends who don't have it get high off it. even when I didn't have a tolerance it never really use to get me high - just able to function.

I'd say you can use it recreationally but I've found most value in it through cramming learning

{The dosages I give in this reply are for getting buzzed and having a euphoric feeling and good experience, so they're a little pumped up but not unsafe whatsoever as long as you know about what you're taking and being rested and well hydrated with water daily is a necessary component to a good time just sayin ...} I'll make it easy and answer the immediate question first... Just think of 120 mg of Adderall being equivalent to approximately 70 or 80 mg of pure Dexamphetamine... But it's like very different than that as well because pure dextroamphetamine is way less jittery and much more euphoric in every way you could possibly think of than mixed amphetamine salts which is what Adderall is. That's kind of like asking to make equivalent dosages for very different benzos or even more complex different stimulants especially the stimulant category because well I mean there's just so many different particular effects of different particular preparations available to be prescribed and that's out there period. ANYWAYS (sry I am tangent prone haha) back to the point at hand...if you have a low tolerance to stims then you're going to want to start with dexedrine which is different than Adderall and more potent, at between 15 to 30 mg; for a moderate tolerance between 30 and 45mg, for people with moderately heavy to heavy or long-term experience with stimulants of this caliber, the sweet spot for me personally with dexedrine is at least 60mg-75mg, and even though I have probably the highest tolerance you could imagine to this substance, I really don't feel that going over 80 mg is necessary especially if you make sure that your stomach is empty and alkalized for potentiation of the dose (a lot of you at this point will or already have realized it's very very rare to be prescribed pure dexamphetamine instead of just adderall, and even rarer to get a dosage for adults with severe ADHD even, of 60 mg which is literally the highest that is allowed to be prescribed at least in my state... So when I tell you that I know what I'm talking about and my tolerance is absolutely legit, trust me bc it is lol.... this is the results of knowing what I needed and what my body and brain needed and finding a great psychiatrist. I am currently on 40 mg diazepam, 10 mg lexapro, 250 mg methadone maintenance, and 60 mg of dexedrine daily and have been on this mixture for going on 5 years and it's given me my life back, and you would not know I was on anything if I didn't tell you so that is how literally functional and right I am when I knew what it would take to get me off of a decade long opioid and cocaine addiction IV speedballs...so being happened to be prescribed 60mg dexedrine daily, please realize that I am a living breathing walking polypharmaceutical methadone maintenance miracle who just happened to find the right team of doctors and therapists and having to have aafter many many very articulate conversations with a beautiful person who actually listens and cares as a psychiatrist and doctor to his patients me being one of those very much appreciated lucky people) also just FYI you're going to want to take instant release and try to have a totally empty stomach and well hydrated body before dosing. It's hard to find, but you are going to definitely want to take and or make the ER versions of dexedrine either by your own manipulations or just finding a psychiatrist that is willing to prescribe it or hypothetically finding it out there "somehow" ...It's because dexamphetamine is not at all Adderall, (which I assume you are mistaken about bc it's very commonly made unfortunately. Also always stay hydrated with plenty of water, and just listen to your body it will tell you what it needs. Also I would take it on an empty stomach and possibly with a Tagamet or some alkaline water or sodium bicarbonate dissolved within water drank down beforehand because a more alkaline stomach and renal system potentiates stimulants in length and the velocity of the coming up. Especially with any substituted amphetamines. They're a very very large class of stimulants. Which is what dexedrine and Adderall (along with many more stimulants) both are. But be careful because potentiating by alkalization through antacids or sodium bicarbonate and water or just lots of alkaline water or whatever you choose to use for potentiation, is I wouldn't say very dangerous but it does make the length nearly twice as long as usual with no potentiation, and the feeling and effects are quite more pronounced but that's usually a good thing at least in my experience LOL safe dosing and safe travels my friend).
