My Morphine has been lasting shorter and shorter times.
My script is meant to be 14 days and even though I effective double it by plugging it (10mg rectal morphine = ~20mg oral morphine), it NEVER lasts no matter how hard I try.
Two prescriptions ago, it was the worst and I ran out 5 days early, so went 5 days cold turkey (I used moderate Lope on 2 or 3 of the days).
Last prescription I ran out 6 days early and had to go SIX days cold turkey...no lope but I had full-spectrum CBD, passionflower extract, gabapentin and sodium ascorbate as "comfort meds".
Spent all of those days promising myself never to run out again...and of course here I am 48 hrs into going 6.5 days with nothing.

However, I don't have any acute withdrawal symptoms after 48 hours? It feels like PAWS where I feel mildly depressed and contantly bored, but that's about it. No muscle pain, no nausea, no diarhoea, nothing. One maybe symptom is I'm a little sweaty...well, more clammy, I'm not like soaked or having constant beading pouring off me like proper withdrawal...and it's hot here and also I'm in diabetic ketoacidosis and also I have a soft tissue infection...so fever maybe?

Do you guys think if I'm asymptomatic after 48 hrs that I can be safely assured wd isn't gonna happen. Since I cold turkeys for a little over 6 days, then used for 8...that 8 days just wasn't long enough to start a physical dependancy again after effectively getting fully past detoxing before (6-and-a-bit days is basically the full-length of the severe, acute withdrawal...I think generally you start improving for sure on day 6)??

^Could I be that lucky?? The hope is keeping me from...IDK self-harm or something...I feel kinda like the very first time I was hospitalized after an alcohol withdrawal seizure and they kept me in for 8 days, detoxing me with (extremely high vitamins, especially B vitamins, especially especially thiamine..all IV, on a drip) librium (50mg as needed) and lorazepam (2.5mg, 3 x day)...and I think also Haloperidol 1.5mg 3 x a day for a bit (hallucinations/delirium from severe withdrawal)...anyway, after the 8 days when they said I could go home I asked if I needed to drink less than before and was told I didn't need to drink at all and that the 8 day detox had fully gotten rid of any PHYSICAL dependancy. I was so happy, not being trapped by it anymore.

*I don't do that, haven't in like 8 years....but I don't have ANY substances to take (unless you count Gabapentin...or Cyclizine, but I'm not gonna self-inflict the "high" you get from first gen anti-histamines) and I already stopped eating (down14lbs in 15 days :D) and...I'm running out of coping mechanisms.

Your WD’s are becoming less intense since you’ve been effectively abstaining from morphine for about a week each time. 10mg of morphine also ain’t shit—-I used to take 120mg MSIR intravenously for over a year. 10mg morphine boofed or whatever is child’s play and the WD will be soft.

Oh, I didn't mean I take 10mg, I was using that as an example for the double-bioavailability thing.
I usually take 60-120mg at a time (plugged).
My aim is never to be like, HIGHHH high, just to feel good.

If you are actually “in diabetic ketoacidosis” you should go to the hospital. You will get admitted to the icu and they will give you your morphine dose. If you are really in DKA the longer you wait the worse it will get. Id go in right now.

Probably should have, but I managed to "fix it" on my own.

Good news, how did you manage that as it’s quite the process usually involving 20 varied or so IV bags, dozens of tests and a couple of days in this icu. You type 1?

I'm type 3 which is exactly the same as type 1 in terms of function and treatment, the difference being that my entire pancreas was destroyed rather than just the insulin-producing beta cells like in type 1.

I basically just monitored by ketones and bloos sugar very closely, drank A LOT of water and kept using OJ and insulin to regulate things very precicely.
I think I was very lucky, though, usually I DO have to stay in hospital, at least overnight

I had never heard of type 3c.. i have type 1 so im familiar with DKA hospital stays.

Yeah, most people only know of type 1 and 2 (there are actually 7 types of diabetes...7th one is so new I'm not sure it's even in the official diagnostic thing, so there might technically be six still).

DKA is fucking awful. Only time I've felt so ill that it (I'm a HEAVY smoker + vaper) I was in hospital over 24 hours before it even OCCURED to me that I hadn't had a cigarette/vape since I got there...and I still couldn't gather the energy to go out for one, even though the ward I was on was right next to an exit.

trust you to have type 3 - you love your rarities!

honestly , with all the shit you have going on healthwise you really should look to quit smoking/vaping asap

well nobody 'wants' the discomfort do they?

if you could choose right now to just be stopped and be past all the difficulty of withdrawal, would you choose it? And if not why not?

No, I wouldn't. My reasons being it helps me not eat and also I'm always fucking BORED and smoking/vaping helps break up the day a bit. Plus [kinda depressing reason but I legit do not want sympathy] I kinda wish I could die most of the time...like, I think of it as "passively suicidal" where I have no intention of actually ending my life but I'll go days without taking insulin, mix a lot of pills, or smoke very excessively in the hopes it'll shorten my life a lot? Like I sorta HOPE I get lung cancer :/.

^Sorry, I realise that is probably horribly offensive to anyone with cancer...might delete this

^^^ am not quoting you in case you wanna delete but fwiw I don't think it's offensive but most people will be offended by something but we also can't control that.

I will say though that out of the dozens of people I have known (in some capacity) to give up tobacco, not a single one has regretted it and the phrase 'best thing I ever did' is heard a lot
