I've a procedure coming up where i'm gonna likely have propofol again and now this has me concerned, as you said, think about what happened to MJ with it + benzos.
If you do go ahead with your procedure involving propofol, please could you let me know how things go?
And whether you quit benzos and pregab first, or just took the most minimal doses that you could get by on.
I'd be very interested to know!
Getting any information on any of this is very difficult. Anesthetists didn't want to share any of their knowledge with me, when I asked my questions, that's for sure!
All I've been able to find out is the varying reports of what benzos MJ took with propofol on the night that he died. But all that does is confirm that large doses of benzos with propofol are lethal, I need more info on exactly what various benzo doses become dangerous.
Maybe I might try again, and frame the question in a different way somehow, if I get any inspiration for ideas, so that it doesn't seem like I'm asking for myself, and ideally in a way that seems more theoretical, maybe referencing Michael Jackson or something, I'm not sure yet.
Obviously such highly trained specialists are going to be very intelligent though, so I'll have to come up with a pretty good idea, or they'll just see straight through me, and the questions......
Btw, I was due to have a general fitness test, also involving a urine sample, about 2 weeks before the surgery. I'm pretty sure I'd have passed the fitness test, but the urine test may well have been testing for various drugs, maybe especially for drugs that interact with propofol, such as benzos, as well as other things. I'm not sure about that though, just speculating, tbh.
I told them that I would not be attending the test, and I had a lot of questions for the consultant, and my surgery date has now been cancelled for the time being.
